    Head: Key Account Management

    Description
     Contribute to the Growth the Value of New Business

    Development and implementation of the Key Account Strategy in alignment with the National Sales Strategy.

    • Analysis of the overall growth market opportunity landscape (new and existing markets/worksites) and establish strategies to exploit identified  opportunities
    • Analysis of competitor activity and/or actions within key Assupol markets and establish defensive and/or counter strategies against competition
    • Acquisition of new worksites – guided by defined client profile and strategy.
    • Review the performance of all key markets and implement improvement plans
    • Monitor the withdrawal performance per Market
    • Oversee and monitoring of collection persistency per Market.
    • Oversee the implementation of retention initiatives at Markets/Worksites
    • Manage implement agreed initiatives to achieve production targets and deliverables

    Distribution and Market Activity Management

    • Contribute to the management of distribution channel in line with National strategic objectives
    • Monitor the effective management of resources
    • Oversee and monitor the Distribution and Marketing activities all key markets
    • Develop and oversee a plan to penetrate markets and diversify Products as per set target
    • Identify and monitor the facilitation of up and cross-selling opportunities within new and existing markets
    • Oversee the Stakeholder management and engagement both internally and externally

    Oversee the Efficiency Management

    • Effective management of resources
    • Effective resource planning for the short and long term
    • Promote the Digital drive to Stakeholders and Clients
    • Oversee the management of the National projects that are in line with the Key Account Management mandate

     Management of Key Account Management Function

    • Management of Key Account Management staff compliment
    • Management of Key Account Management budget and expenses
    • Management of Key Account Management Stakeholder relations

    Oversee and Manage the Regulatory Requirements

    • Monitor the adherence to legislative requirements, Assupol and Markets processes, procedures and policies
    • Quality and relationship management of the Markets
    • Full compliance to legislative requirements

    Reporting obligations

    • Submit Monthly KAM reports to MANCO and Sales Committee
    • Participation in Sales meetings

    Requirements
    FORMAL EDUCATION

    • 3-year tertiary qualification (Business/Commercial/Management/Marketing) 

    TECHNICAL/ LEGAL CERTIFICATION 

    • RE 5 
    • RE 1 (advantage)

    EXPERIENCE  

    • 5-8 years’ experience in the Insurance Sector or Financial Services Industry, preferably within the worksite marketing environment.
    • 5 years Key Account Management and stakeholder experience.
    • Market and business development experience 
    • 3-5 years Sales management experience 
    • 2 years Internal and External Client Networking
