    Junior Risk Advisor

    Job Purpose

    • To drive penetration into the Nedbank banking customer base through relationship building and offering clients Nedbank Insurance solutions. Maintaining and growing of existing portfolio.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Contribute to a culture conducive to the achievement of transformation goals by participating in Nedbank Culture building initiatives (eg: staff surveys etc).
    • Participate and support corporate social responsibility initiatives for the achievement of key business strategies.
    • Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance processes; systems and policies and support implementation of new processes; policies and systems.
    • Follow laid down processes in opening of accounts by using checklist and account opening matrix.
    • Complete weekly compliance training and assessment online to keep up to date on changes.
    • Keep relevant compliance Letter of Authority up to date and inform clients at each interaction.
    • Action daily control reports and attach correct documentation.
    • Identify new clients and their needs through needs analysis and provide a suitable solution.
    • Cross sell to existing clients by establishing need through financial fitness discussions.
    • Obtain referrals from existing clients as well as leads from other Business Units through area collaboration.
    • Ensure that every deal done is priced in line with Business Unit objective and strategy.
    • Generate revenue through charging for ad hoc services provided to clients.
    • Monitor and manage sales on a daily; weekly and monthly basis in order to achieve monthly targets.
    • Increase market share by converting secondary clients to primary clients and ensuring accounts are entrenched.
    • Participate in end of day discussion and apply recommendations from manager to optimise sales results.
    • Keep abreast of legislation and other industry changes that impacts on role by reading the relevant newsletters; websites and attending sessions.
    • Understand and embrace the Nedbank vision and demonstrate the values through interaction with team and stakeholders.
    • Improve personal capability and stay abreast of developments in field of expertise by identifying training courses and career progression for self through input and feedback from managers.
    • Ensure personal growth and enable effectiveness in performance of roles and responsibilities by ensuring all learning activities are completed; experience practiced and certifications obtained and/or maintained within specified time frames.

    • Ensure that client complaints and queries are resolved timeously by using relevant complaints system.
    • Adhere to the ask once promise to clients according to Nedbank strategy.
    • Build relationships with clients through regular contact and having an individual interest in them.
    • Network with internal stakeholders to collaborate in order to provide complete solution to clients.
    • Obtain regular feedback from clients by requesting completion of feedback forms.
    • Mitigate risk to Nedbank by identifyingand verifying clients manually or using relevant technology.
    • Adhere to clean desk policy to minimise risk of exposing client confidentiality.
    • Reduce fraudulent transactions by reporting suspicious transactions to the relevant department.

    People Specification

    Essential Qualification

    • Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate,
    • Short-term Insurance FAIS qualification (150 credits),
    • Regulatory Examinations 5.

    Minimum Experience Level

    • 2-3 years working experience as an Insurance Broker Selling and providing advice on Commercial/Personal Lines space within Short Term Brokerage Industry.

    Finance Executive RRB

    Job Responsibilities

    • Provide relevant and meaningful management information to support decision making processes according to all relevant technical standards, Bank policies and procedures per timelines required.
    • Provide relevant monthly financial management reports to all relevant stakeholders on time.
    • Provide stakeholder support and technical expertise as required. 
    • Identify improvement (revenue and cost savings) opportunities and review and provide guidance and support to executive management teams.
    • Align financial and business decisions to Cluster strategic objectives.
    • Compile and evaluate budgets, rolling forecasts and three-year plans that are aligned to Cluster strategy. Align financial and non-financial targets across the Clients segments where necessary; Align GOI uplift targets to sales, cross sales and other targets across all client segments.
    • Ensure GCC goals and deliverables align to Cluster CFO GCC and align across your team.
    • Implement and monitor accounting processes, policies and procedures as well as systems of internal control under your area of responsibility to ensure compliance and that they run seamlessly on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
    • Build financial models to be used for scenario planning and opportunity evaluation
    • Conduct research and benchmark best practices, legislation and industry standards where required

    Acquisition Manager: RRB - Rustenburg

    Job Purpose

    • To acquire primary clients within the identified segment in order to generate gross operating income so that the bank can achieve its revenue, profitability and market share objectives

    Job Responsibilities

    • Acquire new primary accounts and retaining current clients by ensuring all their banking needs are met.
    • Build relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers by meeting all standards and service level agreements.
    • Source appropriate leads by building relationships, using networks, collaborating with other divisions, obtaining referrals and conducting appropriate marketing activities to target potential customers. Collaborate with other departments by informing them of your role, sharing knowledge and making recommendations, referring leads and working with team to secure new accounts.
    • Ensure that the client is fully banked, by conducting a needs analysis with the client and matching products and services. Provide accurate advice to their needs,
    • Cross sell and service to meet all identified needs drawing up contract plans and consistency following up.
    • Ensure Nedbank processes are adhered to and FAIS requirements are complied with.
    • Providing feedback on progress, responding to requests with appropriate information within turnaround times, and by managing expectations
    • Ensure that clients can use products and services by providing / organising training and demonstrations to clients.

    Minimum Experience Level

    • 4 - 5 years' experience in a Sales role responsible for and successfully acquiring new account and / or cross selling into existing accounts, in a Financial Services environment
    • 4-5 years' Relationship management experience in the financial sector would be an advantage

    Requirements

    • Successfully completed NQF Level 6 or Higher in a Financial or Business-related field essential
    • Must have minimum FAIS 120 Credits
    • Key Individual Certification or Regulatory Examination 5 would be an advantage
    • Degree in Business / Finance / Marketing (e.g. B. Com, Certified Associate of the Institute of Bankers) would be advantageous
    • Valid drivers’ licence and own reliable vehicle a must
