    Job Responsibilities

    • Provide relevant and meaningful management information to support decision making processes according to all relevant technical standards, Bank policies and procedures per timelines required.
    • Provide relevant monthly financial management reports to all relevant stakeholders on time.
    • Provide stakeholder support and technical expertise as required. 
    • Identify improvement (revenue and cost savings) opportunities and review and provide guidance and support to executive management teams.
    • Align financial and business decisions to Cluster strategic objectives.
    • Compile and evaluate budgets, rolling forecasts and three-year plans that are aligned to Cluster strategy. Align financial and non-financial targets across the Clients segments where necessary; Align GOI uplift targets to sales, cross sales and other targets across all client segments.
    • Ensure GCC goals and deliverables align to Cluster CFO GCC and align across your team.
    • Implement and monitor accounting processes, policies and procedures as well as systems of internal control under your area of responsibility to ensure compliance and that they run seamlessly on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
    • Build financial models to be used for scenario planning and opportunity evaluation
    • Conduct research and benchmark best practices, legislation and industry standards where required
    • Regularly engage with clients to build and maintain relationships
    • Encourage inter- and intra-Cluster collaboration
    • Provide external stakeholders formal and informal knowledge sharing and feedback
    • Implement a strategy to build a differentiated culture by analysing relevant surveys and information and align to greater Finance team/Cluster culture plan where necessary.
    • Measure the effectiveness of differentiated culture plan through staff and client feedback and develop and implement corrective action plans. 
    • Develop and introduce a people strategy that will create a culture that drives the Cluster and Nedbank’s vision and values
    • Manage resources and retention of critical staff. Ensure that leadership-relevant strategies and plans have been communicated and implemented by direct reports.
    • Manage performance by taking corrective action; recognise and reward staff as required
    • Design and implement active talent management and succession planning across area of accountability
    • Participate in the recruitment and selection of senior staff
    • Hold managers accountable for developing their staff and themselves
    • Coach and mentor team to make decisions and recommend tailored solutions to Business Unit specific problems
    • Monitor implemented divisional EE and transformation plan and target achievement
    • Analyse deviations from divisional EE and transformation plan and ensure recommended corrective action is appropriate and implemented

    Essential Qualification

    • Chartered Accountant

    Preferred Qualification

    • Chartered Accountant.

    Essential Certifications

    • Registered at South African Institute of Chartered Accountants

    Minimum Experience Level

    • Up to 8 years financial management in financial services sector and >5 years managing Managers and others.
