    General Manager: Environment

    As a General Manager: Environment, you will be responsible to:  

    • Lead regional environmental initiatives, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.
    • Develop and implement environmental strategies and action plans.
    • Manage environmental performance metrics and reporting.
    • Build and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies.
    • Oversee environmental permits, licenses, and incident reporting.
    • Stay updated on environmental legislation and industry best practices.

    Reliability Technician - Mill Ngodwana

    As a Reliability Technician, you will be responsible for:

    • Analyze plant/assets to enhance equipment reliability, performance, and maintenance effectiveness.
    • Collaborate with maintenance teams to manage asset reliability, criticality, and condition data for planning and maintenance.
    • Ensure reliability and maintainability of new installations by working with Project Engineering and following Life Cycle Asset Management processes.
    • Develop and maintain Mill statutory documentation and standards.
    • Train and coach engineering personnel on equipment maintenance following regional best practices and operational goals.
    • Guide Maintenance, Projects, and Production teams in adopting best practices to improve equipment availability and reliability.
    • Oversee the Maintenance Planning Team in creating asset care strategies, standards, and schedules through data analysis.
    • Develop engineering solutions for recurring failures and operational issues, and prioritize capital expenditure projects for plant improvements.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • National Diploma or equivalent in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering.
    • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
    • Experience in the Pulp and Paper Industry is advantageous.
    • Knowledge of RCM, TPM, and/or Lean Manufacturing is advantageous.

    Senior Process Controller Fibreline

    As a Senior Process Controller, you will be responsible to:

    • Start-up & Shutdown, ensure effective startup and shutdown of production equipment, maintaining operational integrity.
    • Plant Optimization, optimize plant status within current constraints such as raw materials and services to maximize efficiency.
    • Rate Changes, perform rate changes as requested to adapt to production needs.
    • Section Efficiency, oversee the efficiency of your section and areas of responsibility, striving for continuous improvement.
    • Change Management, strictly enforce Management of Change procedures for plant equipment, operating procedures, and DCS software.
    • Fault Identification, identify and report deviations or faults on equipment under your control to the appropriate trade disciplines for repair.
    • Housekeeping, perform housekeeping duties according to plant standards and procedures to ensure a clean and safe work environment.
    • Resource Management, manage human resources effectively, ensuring optimal capacity planning and resource utilization.
    • Team Development, coach and mentor team members to enhance their skills and performance.
    • Operator Training, train and test newly trained and re-licensed operators to ensure competency

    Required Minimum Qualifications: 

    • National Diploma Chemical Engineering or National Diploma Pulp and Paper
    • 2 years manufacturing experience in Pulp and Paper industry
    • Dissolving Pulp experience will be advantageous.

    Process Specialist Uptakes

    As a Process Specialist, you will be responsible to:

    • Review and inspect critical performance parameters daily to ensure functionality and address potential risks.
    • Maintain a historical record of operating parameters to monitor long-term deviations.
    • Mentor and support operating personnel to achieve required parameters and ensure effective plant checks.
    • Develop and update Best Operating Practices and Safe Work Procedures with Shift Superintendents.
    • Manage section costs within the allocated budget effectively.
    • Investigate all unplanned downtime, implement corrective actions, and complete Root Cause Analysis (RCA) promptly.
    • Facilitate, initiate, and participate in team-based problem-solving for corrective actions.
    • Ensure personnel competency and development, and identify high performers for succession planning.
    • Update training manuals regularly to reflect current process capabilities.
    • Stay current with technical knowledge, manage machine clothing, coordinate shut-down processes, liaise with suppliers, and uphold safety and housekeeping standards.

    Required Minimum Qualifications: 

    • BSc Chemical Engineering or B Tech Pulp and Paper or B Tech Chemical Engineering or Advanced Diploma in Chemical Engineering or Pulp and Paper.
    • 8 Years’ experience within a production environment.
    • Computer Literate (MS Office Package).
    • SAP knowledge will be advantageous.
