    Manager: Internal Audit - Midrand

    Requirements

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

    • NQF Level 7 Internal Auditing or Accounting, B Tech: Internal Auditing, BComm. Degree (Auditing) or BComm Degree (Accounting) 
    • Minimum of 5 years Internal Auditing experience
    • 3 years Risk Management experience 
    • 4 Years’ experience in a managerial role 
    • Internal Audit Technician (IAT) 
    • Professional Internal Auditor (PIA) 

    THE FOLLOWING WILL PROVIDE FOR AN ADDED ADVANTAGE:

    • Qualification in ICT (in addition to the minimum qualification above)
    • Certifications in the ICT environment
    • Experience in managing ICT related audit projects
    • Certified Internal Audit (CIA)

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

    • Knowledge of transport legislation and  
    • Knowledge of corporate governance principles 
    • Knowledge of Risk Management Frameworks 
    • Knowledge of Auditing Systems 
    • Knowledge  of RSR Act 
    • Public Sector Risk Management Framework 
    • Knowledge of The Public Finance Management Act (PFMA),  Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act (PPPFA) and Treasury Regulations 
    • Applicable Legislative and Regulatory Framework

     KEY RESULTS AREAS

    • Implement the approved Audit plan 
    • Manage internal audit scope and plan 
    • Follow-up on implementation of audit recommendations  
    • Provide independent, objective assurance and consulting services 
    • Implement relevant frameworks, policies, plans for the provision of audit assurance and consulting services 
    • Perform and control the full audit cycle including risk management and control management over operations’ effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations 
    • Communicate risks identified during execution of audit project
    • Establish and maintain effective relations with stakeholders 
    • Manage subordinates by allocating work, assessing progress, coaching/ training and motivating 
    • Provide required training and development to staff to ensure optimal performance

    Chief Operations Officer (COO) (10 Years Fixed Term Contract)

    Requirements

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATION AND EXPERTISE

    • NQF level 8 qualification in Engineering, transport, or related disciplines.
    • Minimum of 10 Years of Operational experience in rail or other transport modes.
    • At least five (5) years executive management experience.
    • Knowledge of transport legislation and corporate governance issues.
    • Must have a clean civil and criminal record.
    • Must be willing to undergo security vetting.
    • Must be willing to complete a competency assessment. 

    KEY RESULTS AREAS

    • Identify, oversee, and manage the design and implementation of operational programs and projects.
    • Identify and manage key strategic initiatives from conceptualisation to implementation.
    • Document and execute the annual operational plan in accordance with RSR strategic objectives.
    • Ensure appropriate systems, processes and performance management arrangements are in place to deliver consistent high-quality level of service provision and actively report and monitor achievement.
    • Report to EXCO on compliance of operational targets and ensure corrective action plans are in place to address shortfalls.
    • Ensure that safety management deliverables are achieved, by accurate delivery of all the mission critical activities related to Safety Performance Management, Regulatory Planning, including Safety Intervention Planning required for decentralised execution as well as providing Quality assurance on RSR’s safety compliance activities.
    • Provide a national and regional footprint for the RSR and ensure that the industry risks are identified and addressed by means of audits, inspections, and investigations.
    • Ensure orgnisational learning and continuous improvement by providing appropriate feedback on potential risk including, incidents, audits, inspections, investigations, technical assessments, and technology review findings.

    • Handle incoming and outgoing deliveries.
    • Manage boardroom bookings.
    • Manage booking of parking bays for RSR staff and visitors.
    • Weekly Petty cash reconciliation for canteen.
    • Oversee provision of housekeeping services.
    • Acquisition of cleaning material and kitchen/canteen utensils.
    • Oversee provision of catering services.
    • Keep good relations with the external stakeholders and service providers and ensure that obligations are carried out.
    • Oversee the stock inventory list.
