    Service Contract Coordinators (Fixed-Term Contract)

    Job Description

    • The function is to provide accurate management of all the administration, scheduling and planning requirements for all the services contracts who fall under Maintenance Manager, Central Support Services.

    Profile Requirements:

    • N6 National Diploma: Mechanical

    Experience:

    • At least 5 years of experience working in a heavy industrial environment .
    • OHS Act Standards
    • Analytical and problem solving skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Meticulous attention to detail.

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Understands the legal and safety requirements – OHS ACT
    • Manages legal compliance of contractors for the above requirements.
    • Perform ad hoc safety inspections on contractors Plant and equipment.
    • Ensure legal register of all scaffolding builds and MEWPs on site are maintained.
    • Ensures a register of contractors employees on site are maintained.
    • Daily monitoring of Scaffolding, Mobile elevated work platforms(MEWP), Mobile cranes, Riggers, etc.
    • Forward plan and Schedule all contractor work on a weekly basis
    • Approves ad hoc work requirements.
    • Assessing Needs: Controller assess the needs required based on project specifications and plans accordingly.
    • Collaborating and working with BU planners when necessary.
    • Monitoring number of contractors on site and were they are used and how to use them efficiently and planning and coordinating proficiencies relating to the utilization of manpower.
    • Monitors and highlights deviations to planned work
    • Weekly reporting on contractor efficiencies – people and equipment - Provide reports to verify results
    • Maintain contractor head count to an acceptable level (TBA) – and report on daily headcount
    • Monitors quality of equipment brought on site by contractors
    • Log  corrective and safety notifications for any defects identified during inspections on equipment

    Central Support Technician

    Job Description

    • Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the purpose of the position is to provide supervision, quality control and first line maintenance of the services provided by cameras, radios and scales service contractors.

    Profile Requirements:

    • Matric plus N6 National Diploma: Electronics or Instrumentation. 
    • Trade tested artisan (Instrumentation or Electronics)
    • A relevant BTech in Electronics or Instrumentation would be advantageous. 
    • Excellent SAP experience, especially in Notification and Workorder Management. Processing of Purchase requisitions
    • Capex initiation for improvements and sustainability
    • Bill of materials review and updates
    • Leading complex teams

    Experience:

    • At least 5 years of experience working with camera’s radios and scales
    • Experience in managing maintenance in the following disciplines: Cameras, Radios and Scales
    • Experience within the Pulp & Paper industry will be beneficial.  
    • Recognition for prior learning will be considered.

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Continuous improvement of the Cameras, Radios and Scales maintenance function.
    • Monitor Cameras, Radios and Scales team’s performance in line with agreed Maintenance Contracts/KPIs.
    • Achieve Maintenance KPIs.
    • Legal compliance of  scales
    • Manage SAP environment ie. Prioritize notifications, manage work order backlogs, time keeping, overtime approval.
    • Assist with budget compilations and responsible for budget control.
    • Short term planning as well as planning for the annual shut.
    • Promote safety, health and environmental issues.
    • Accurate reporting.
    • Control of contracts.
