    Supervisor - Accounts Receivable Administration (Pinelands)

    Description

    At WCBS, we rely on a meticulous financial system to drive our service forward. Our accounts receivable department keeps that system running smoothly by reviewing orders, assisting with accounting, and identifying any discrepancies between bills and customer accounts. We’re searching for a skilled “Accounts Receivable Administration – Supervisor” to join our accounts receivable team.

     Purpose of the job:

    Supervise and manage all functions within the Accounts Receivable Administration Department to be completed timeously.

    Requirements

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Matric Certificate.
    • Basic Accounting Certificate.
    • Computer literate.
    • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an accounting environment, in a supervisory role.

    A combination of the following skills, knowledge and attributes are required:

    • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Exceptional organizational skills, including the ability to handle multiple assignments and prioritize work.
    • Detail oriented, ability to show initiative and take responsibility.
    • Effective problem-solving skills.
    • Effective supervisory and training skills.
    • Ability to work on accounting systems.
    • Experience with invoicing and customer service is mandatory.
    • Experience with processing credit notes, reconciliations and month end.
    • Good understanding of Continues Improvement would be an added advantage.

    Medical Technologist/Medical Technician (Pinelands)

    Purpose of the Job

    • The incumbent will work between 3 laboratories – Red Cell Serology and Haematology, Immunohaemotology &Transfusion Virology.
    • The incumbent will rotate between laboratories as required and perform all administrative and technical aspects of the job.
    • The incumbent will be trained in each area to ensure the correct and accurate release of relevant test results for safe blood transfusion.
    • The period spent in each area is typically 3 - 4 months but unforeseen circumstances may change the period spent in any area at the discretion of the Head of Donation Testing.
    • The incumbent will participate in the department’s lean objectives.

    Requirements

    Minimum Requirements

    • Senior Certificate
    • National Diploma/B Tech in Biomedical Technology/Degree in BHSc /Technician Certificate - Blood Transfusion
    • Registered with HPCSA
    • Blood transfusion experience is essential
    • Computer literate, preferably knowledge of Excel & PowerPoint.

    A combination of the following skills, knowledge, and attributes is required:

    • Have an affinity for automated lab systems and computer systems.
    • Good interpersonal skills.
    • Must be able to work as part of a team and be flexible.
    • The working hours are variable and shift and weekend work will be required
