    STO: Core Network Management

    The STO: Core Network Management role is based within the Technology Business Unit.
    The purpose of the STO: Core Network Management position is to detect, diagnose and manage incidents for Core Network on 24/7 shift environment.

    Your Responsibilities Will Include

    • To ensure that all network elements are monitored o n a 24/7 basis.
    • Monitor, analyze, and drive resolution of incidents according to Fault Handling and Escalation Procedures.
    • Perform first line support to received emails and alarms
    • Communicate service disruptions to relevant stakeholders timeously
    • Conduct proactive intervention including routine tests
    • Manage and compile reports
    • Perform call flow traces to isolate failure causes
    • Participate in department projects
    • Provide support to NMG FM RAN and Transport

    The Ideal Candidate For This Role Will Have

    • Matric / Grade 12 essential
    • Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with 2 years experience in Telecommunications / IT essential OR
    • Relevant certificates/courses with 3 years’ experience n Telecommunications / IT essential
    • Previous experience working in a Network Operations Centre
    • Experienced with Incident and Problem Management practices and processes.

    Supply planner

    Supply Planners play a critical role in ensuring stock is available in our sales channels when the customers want them. With over 8m units shipped per annum, with a stock value of circa R1,5billion, our supply chain needs to be world class. Forecasts accurate and stock levels minimised. This role ensures our supply partners supply stock in line with our demand forecast. Based on “just in time” supply mechanism, this role ensures our partners supply our warehouse with the right quantities of the right products and the right time, aligned to our forecasts. Requiring strong analytical and communication skills you will need to work closely with the Vendors, Clearing Agents and our Warehouse.

    Your responsibilities will include

    • Create buy/supply plans and Operational Demand Forecasts, manage communication with suppliers and review suppliers’ delivery plans.
    • Handle exceptions related to these plans.
    • Plan replenishment at Warehouse
    • Manage constraints at DC level.
    • Submit and manages POs and confirmations.
    • Manage and plans SKUs for one or more suppliers.
    • Set up Inbound Replenishment Parameters
    • Carry out stock balancing between VDCs.
    • Develop and own the Inbound Plan, together with Supplier
    • Proactive management of slow moving stock lines

    The Ideal Candidate For This Role Will Have

    • 3 year degree or relevant equivalent in supply chain/procurement/business/commerce
    • 2-3 years of experience in procurement telecoms environment

    Specialist: Software Engineer

    The Specialist Software Engineer role is based within the Technology Business Unit.

    The role of the Specialist Software Engineer is to be responsible for the development of new and existing products and shared micro services by creating prototypes, designing and building modules and solutions in iterative agile cycles. Develop, maintain and optimize the business outcome. This role is responsible for estimating user and technical stories, designing and developing code, writing and executing unit and integration tests, and supporting testing of deliverables against user and technical story acceptance tests.

    Your Responsibilities Will Include

    • Estimate user and technical stories to help inform and prioritize backlog
    • Design modules according to user stories and technical stories
    • Develop solutions according to designs and deploy using continuous integration and deployment pipelines
    • Develop and execute unit and integration tests; support testing against user and technical story acceptance tests
    • Integrate image-scanning and signing process to prevent vulnerabilities as part of an enterprise’s continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) process.
    • Ensure applications are scanned during the build and run phases of the software development life cycle, emphasizing the scanning and identification of open-source components, libraries and frameworks.
    • Set up mandatory access controls, ensure separation of duties and institute a secrets management policy.
    • Deploy security products that provide whitelisting, behavioral monitoring and anomaly detection to prevent malicious activity.
    • Implement strong version control for code and components and by training the developers, QA teams on secure coding practices.
    • Deploy infrastructure automation tools to ensure that infrastructure provisioning and management is automated and streamlined to account for the dynamic nature of containerized workloads.
    • Build and test applications in production-like environments by integrating DevOps toolchains with Kubernetes-based container orchestration tools.
    • Focus on instrumenting applications to enable observability. This will involve deploying tools for additional logging, metrics collections and distributed tracing.
    • Manage incidents and problems as level two and level three support

    The Ideal Candidate For This Role Will Have

    • Matric / Grade 12 essential
    • 3-year degree / diploma Bachelor’s Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field is essential
    • 3- 5 years’ relevant experience in programming and systems analysis applying agile frameworks essential
    • Experience working with agile methodologies, such as SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, XP, LSD, and FDD
    • Strong knowledge of software architecture principles
    • Cloud Development certification (eg. AWS Certified Developer) preferred
    • Experience working in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment environments preferred
    • Experience and knowledge of Big Data and Analytics technologies preferred

    Senior Account Manager

    To manage the Elite Customer relationship for nominated Vodacom Business customer accounts across Vodacom Business. Drive profitable revenue contribution and increased market share from the closure of opportunities in integrated product, service, fixed, MPLS and mobile solution offerings.
    To ensure effective service delivery, protection/renewal of existing business and identifying major new sales opportunities.

    Your Responsibilities Will Include

    • Responsible for the regional account management of 1 + nominated Vodafone Global Enterprise accounts and delivery of profitable, long term business of those accounts to Vodafone
    • Supports the GAM in the delivery of all financial targets including gross margin, cost to manage, cost to connect, net assets, turnover, ARPU and ARPA.
    • Establishes appropriate relationships with customers and within Vodafone. Leverages those relationships to ensure maximum financial return from Vodafone customers
    • Works collaboratively to provide direction on the service relationship for nominated accounts
    • Inputs to decisions on new propositions, product mix and services for customers

    The Ideal Candidate For This Role Will Have

    • Proven track record of global accounts/ enterprise solution selling (5-10 years) within multi-national companies (in at least one of the following areas – communications service provider, technology, financial, pharmaceutical, professional services sectors).
    • Must have P&L experience.
    • Experience of identifying customer requirements and developing creative and innovative customer-centric solutions with an international context.
    • International/Regional business appreciation and expertise– lived and worked in region countries for large amount of time. Demonstrated success in working in multi-cultural environment and have the ability to act upon cultural differences.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with proven track record of result working in a multi-cultural environment across multiple time zones.


    Must Have Technical / Professional Qualifications
