    Peer Coordinator

    Job Advert Summary    
    Directly responsible for supervision and coordination of peer education team to ensure provision of a comprehensive mobile health care service. This involves ensuring that peer educator work schedules are organized; monitoring peer performance of duties, capacity building & training and ensuring that peer reporting is consistent.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Grade 12 
    • Computer literacy 
    • Training in HIV and STIs 
    • Minimum 1-3 years’ experience as a peer educator 
    • Fluent in English and isiZulu 
    • Valid code 8 driver’s licence

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Supervision, coordination and capacity building of peers
    • Conduct outreach activities with the mobile unit
    • The peer coordinator has all the responsibilities of a peer educator
    • Community engagement

    • Maintain restriction of access to the filing room

    Data Quality Officer

    Purpose of the position:

    To provide oversight and technical support to THC data capturers through facility level supervision and support visits (e.g. visit a facility once every two months), capacity building and data quality assurance (e.g. apply data verification tool every second visit to a facility and leave facility with an action plan). To support the flow of facility level data for accurate and timeous weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual reporting

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Tertiary qualification in health, public health, social sciences, behavioural sciences, or related field will be an advantage
    • Formal training in Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) and DHIS essential
    • At least three years operational experience in District Health Information Systems (DHIS) and Tier.net (candidates with no degree but over 7 years of relevant experience may apply)
    • Strong knowledge of HIV/AIDS
    • MS Office 
    • Able to communicate in English and isiXhosa is an advantage
    • Valid drivers license with at least Two years driving experience

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Provide oversight and technical support
    • Report to the District M&E Specialist on all aspects of activities and key performance areas
    • Supervises roving and fixed data capturers within Sub-district
    • Design, implement and execute plans for improving data quality in the designated sub- district, including data quality assessments and action plans resulting from the assessments
    • Enable routine tracking, dissemination and usage of priority information relating to HAST services, according to data quality principles
    • Participate and lead discussions in sub-district forums regarding trends seen in HAST data and Tier.Net Management per facility
    • Supervise Perm and Roving Data Capturers to ensure that facility health systems are implemented and up-to-date and that data for weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting is collected and received n time

    HAST Counsellor Driver

    Purpose of the position: 

    The purpose of this job is to provide transportation services for the peer led outreach teams and/or equipment to the various locations and areas where the Company provides services; Provide counselling services to adolescent girls and young women (AGYW)and male sex partners. To conduct comprehensive screening including: risk and vulnerability; GBV; alcohol and substance abuse, mental health and other services for AGYW. To provide readiness counselling for HIV and TB prevention services including PrEP. (This is a contract position renewable based on funding)

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Grade 12 / matric
    • 3-years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • 2-years driving experience as well as working in the HIV and TB programmes
    • Accredited / recognized HIV counselling certificate
    • Driver’s licence with PDP Code 10 EB or C1
    • Proficiency in English and isiZulu
    • Clear criminal record

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Transport HTS teams and equipment to and from different locations
    • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary teams
    • Maintain a high standard of professionalism when interacting with clients and health care professionals 
    • Conduct daily vehicle inspections and reports defects the nurse clinician
    • Adhere to all safety precautions and road ordinances

    2. Recording the males and females present by head count or signing of the attendance register
    3. Recording the number of condoms distributed
    • Meet daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly targets as set
    • Refer clients to the nurse clinician for further tests where necessary
    • Implement case management according to the SOP
    • Assist in taking sputum specimen 
    • Adhere to Waste Disposal, IPC and environmental health protocols
    • Encourage and support disclosure

    Management Accountant

    Job Advert Summary    
    Responsible for the gathering and analyzing of financial information, supporting and developing budgets, reporting, information dissemination and analysis. This role will provide direct support to the financial manager/financial management team including: month end processes, audit preparation and execution and other ad hoc tasks.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • CA (SA) and minimum 1 years’ experience as an Accountant / Cost Accountant; or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Knowledge of financial accounting systems

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    Budgeting

    • Prepare project specific and organisational budgets as and when needed
    • Budget development in support of new business activities
    • Ensure that organisational policies are taken into account in all budgeting processes
    • Develop and update appropriate templates to assist in budget consolidation
    • Update and maintain budgets on SAP and Power BI
    • Prepare budget redirections based on programmatic needs

    Reporting

    • Prepare monthly project specific financial reports in the required external and internal templates
    • Ensures that all reports are reconciled to the underlying financial system
    • Ensure that all required reconciliations are completed on a monthly basis to check completeness and accuracy of reporting
    • Ensures all monthly financial reporting and supporting documentation are prepared and submitted to funders on time
    • Develop templates for presenting financial progress in a simplified way
    • Prepare monthly consolidated reporting which includes management accounts
    • Provide analysis of financial reporting share insights and support to programme directors and other relevant staff
    • Provide insight into whether organisational policies are being adhered from review of the financial reports
    • Conducts monthly high level reviews of sub-awardees progress against contracted requirements and financial documents
    • Reviews reports prepared by others to ensure quality standards are maintained

    Forecasting

    • Facilitates accurate forecasting for projects by working with the financial management team and relevant programme staff
    • Creates and maintains relevant templates for accurate and regular forecasting
    • Clearly documents and provides insight to programme directors and other relevant staff on the assumptions used for forecasting
    • Reviews forecasting prepared by others (e.g. accountants, compliance officers) and provides feedback and insight to ensure accuracy, when applicable

    Administration

    • Ensures that budgets, reports, forecasts or presentations are prepared in the required templates and are quality controlled
    • Ensures that rules and regulations are appropriately incorporated into budgets and that adherence is maintained within the organisation.
    • Performs other duties as assigned
