    Technical Lead : Renal Technologist - NRC Head Office ( Technical )

    The Technical Lead - Renal Technologist  with deliver technical support, including support related to water treatment systems to the business.

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS 

    • Supervision of the clinical technical function, planned maintenance and in-house projects.
    • Managing all water plants.
    • Internal and external contractors
    • Building strong relationships with the Department of Water and Sanitation.
    • To be actively involve with all emergency and disaster management committees.
    • Ability to cross train between Technical and operations.
    • Assist with financial control of the technical budget (CAPEX and OPEX).
    • Co-coordinating the utilization of clinical technical resources.
    • Regular traveling nationally between chronic units.

    Requirements

    Healthcare Worker - NRC Bloemfontein

    The Health Care Worker will be tasked to assist in attending to and maintaining the basic needs of the patient.

    • Ensure a safe and optimal dialysis service by prepping and cleaning dialysis machines prior to each patient dialysis session as per policies & procedures and NRC standards.
    • Ensure that the unit generator is in working condition by completing the daily, weekly and monthly maintenance inspections, logging technical issues and refuelling the generator with diesel as and when required.
    • Ensure that all financial policies and procedures are followed in the unit i.e. stock, waste
    • Ensure excellent customer service and patient care by ordering and serving patients their meals in line with dietary requirements and NRC policies and procedures.
    • Maintain a safe work ethic and a safe dialysis environment by complying with infection control and occupational health and Safety standards on a daily basis.
    • Ensure that you are continuously educated regarding the Health care worker function in the unit and that your related knowledge is constantly updated.
    • Ensuring a safe dialysis session by testing of the machine alarms prior to each dialysis session to ensure that they are operational

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 level of numeracy and literacy
    • A minimum of 1-year experience within renal will be advantageous

    Registered Nurse/Clinical Technologist - NRC KZN Acute

National Renal Care seeks to recruit an ambitious, talented, goal driven and self-motivated individual to fulfil the role of a Registered Nurse/Clinical Technologist (Independent Practice).

    The Dialysis Practitioner will render and promote cost effective, safe quality patient care in accordance with NRC standards and policies. The incumbent will further be responsible for direct and/or indirect nursing care of a patient or a group of patients, for assessing, planning, executing and supervising the implementation of care to meet patient needs, is a role model in the delivery of evidence-based care and will actively participate in Clinical Governance.

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

    • To perform dialysis according to prescription in a safe manner and in accordance to NRC’s internal policies and procedures.    
    • To provide optimal patient care as per the nursing scope of practice and NRC’s clinical care pathways.
    • Manage and maintain all medical equipment in accordance with NRC’s technical policies and procedures.
    • Ensure that all NRC quality initiative programs are utilised for the patients under your management.
    • Ensure that all patient clinical records are maintained and updated in accordance with the deadlines, policies & procedures and the NRC standards.
    • Ensure that all financial policies and procedures are followed in the unit i.e., confirmation, billing, private patients, stock, waste etc.
    • Responsible for leading the shift and for the supervision of all subcategories on the floor on a daily basis.

    Requirements

    • Relevant qualification within a specialist area or equivalent NQF 7.
    • Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse/ Midwife or Registration with HPCSA as a Clinical Technologist (Independent Practice)
    • Experience in Renal Nursing will be a strong recommendation
    • Capacity to implement and maintain standards of health practice required from all accredited bodies and appropriate health legislation.
    • Must be able to work under pressure in a constantly changing environment
    • Strong interpersonal skills required.

    Technical Driver - NRC Cape Acute

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

    • Render a fast, efficient, quality delivery service to customers
    • .Check vehicle as required daily.
    • Attend staff meetings
    • Personal appearance is neat with good behaviour, a pleasant relationship, making a good impression on all customers.
    • Safe working procedures are followed and technical instructions are adhered to.

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 level of numeracy and literacy
    • A Minimum of 1-year experience within a similar role is preferred.
    • A minimum of 1-year experience within renal will be advantageous
    • Must be able to work under pressure in a constantly changing environment
    • Strong interpersonal skills required.
    • Computer literacy essential (MS Office).
    • Driver’s License Code 8/10

    Service Technician - NRC Technical

    Description

National Renal Care seeks to recruit an ambitious, talented, goal driven and self-motivated individual to fulfil the role of a Service Technician.

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

    • Driving to our units to attend to breakdowns and routine services of our dialysis machines.
    • Repair of Dialysis beds.
    • To control and manage own boot stock.
    • Repair and servicing of water plants.
    • Transport, installation and testing of equipment between Renal Units.

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 Electronic qualification
    • Technical experience in the medical arena would be an advantage.
    • Be a qualified technician with an electronics background and experience in the clinical environment.
    • A minimum of 3 years of extensive experience in repairing and maintaining dialysis machines.
    • Be a licensed driver and prepared to drive to multiple sites per day.
    • Be physically able to load 70kg machines into and out of a vehicle.
    • Must be able to work unsupervised and willing to work after work hours.
    • Must be Computer literate.
    • Must be able to communicate on English, both verbal and written.
