    Inventory Analyst

    Job Summary

    We have a fantastic opportunity for a PIC Inventory Analyst. This role involves supporting the Product Support & Logistics Division in achieving inventory and customer service objectives. Specifically, you’ll focus on Parts Inventory Collaboration (PIC) and Inventory Management Research.

    What you will do :

    • Responsible for providing business and system support to dealers on the PIC system.
    • Provide standard OTIL and OTIF Service Analysis and Loss Analysis as well as execute additional standardized analysis packs for PIC dealers for their monthly review process.
    • Must be open to learning the analytical techniques for Data Analysis & Inventory Management System Configuration/logic and statistically oriented analysis.
    • Work closely together with DSD Parts Operations to roll out PIC2.0, PIC Predictive Model and support the Parts Excellence Program rollout with our EAME dealers, both through day-to-day and through project assistance
    • Specific projects may include but are not limited to investigating reasons for service loss, explaining inventory growth, assessing the value of alternative stocking rules on dealer inventory, or helping dealers to reduce excess inventory or lowering emergency orders.
    • Close collaboration with internal process partners, both within PSLD and with other Divisions.

    Skills you will have:

    • Data Analysis: Utilizing data to identify trends, forecast demand, and enhance inventory management strategies; ability to collect, organize, and analyze data to make informed business decisions. Knowledge and experience in SQL, snowflake, and Power BI essential. 
    • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviours.
    • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
    • Customer Focus: Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
    • Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations. 
    • Service Excellence: Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques; ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner.
    • Consulting: Knowledge of techniques, roles, and responsibilities in providing technical or business guidance to clients, both internal and external; ability to apply consulting knowledge appropriately.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Completed degree or qualification in logistics or supply chain.  
    • 3 -5 years of inventory management experience.
    • Experience with SAS, Snowflake OR SQL Programming and use of reporting tools like Power BI.
    • Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Well-developed oral and written communications skills.
    • Strong customer focus, and ability to work effectively with a wide variety of groups including caterpillar internal groups and dealers.
    • Must have the ability to translate complex content to an ‘easy to understand' story, adjusting the format of the message to the audience, as needed.
    • Must be able to work autonomously but keep a close connection with the rest of the team.

    Top candidates will also have:

    • Green Belt / Subject Matter Expert (SME) on 6 Sigma Projects
    • Strong data analytics capabilities.
    • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
    • Previous experience of working in a multinational organization.

    Additional Details

    • Travel: Willing to travel on an occasional basis (5-10%). Initial onboarding might require slightly more travel.
    • No relocation assistance will be provided.

    Senior Sales Representative

    Job Summary

    We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Sales Rep to join our team in South Africa!

    In this role, you will oversee dealer relationships, promoting our Aftermarket products and services. Additionally, you contribute to enhancing dealers’ sales capabilities.

    What you will do:

    • Understanding of business model and acting within the business process guidance on review and approval for variance programs and commercial actions.
    • Designing and assisting dealers on the forecast, sales/rental/used strategy planning, and sales techniques, supporting the rollout of new products.
    • Performing regular sales performance reviews with dealers and ensuring implementation of corrective actions where needed.
    • Leading the selling opportunities identification, customer satisfaction improvement and business relationship enhancement

    Degree or equivalent experience

    • A completed bachelor’s degree in engineering, marketing, or related field.
    • 8 – 10 years minimum experience in a similar role, within the industry.
    • Prior experience working with dealers across Africa.

    • Negotiating: Knowledge of successful negotiation concepts and techniques; ability to negotiate successfully across the organization and with external vendors and clients in a constructive and collaborative manner.
    • Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
    • Business Development: Knowledge of business development tools, techniques, and approaches; ability to explore and develop potential areas of business growth for the organization.
    • Value Selling: Knowledge of the principles and practices for selling products, technology, and services; ability to provide overall product/service 'value' and to differentiate support offerings that address clearly understood customer needs.

    Top candidates will also have:

    • Strong commercial and influencing capabilities.
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
    • Previous experience in Aftermarket Sales.
    • Knowledge of caterpillar products.

    Additional information:

    • No Payroll change/ISE/relocation assistance will be provided.
    • Travel time: 50% within Africa.
