    IT Risk and Security Specialist (SAP GRC)

    Responsible for identifying and implementing the necessary security controls across all SAP systems, thus ensuring that appropriate access and segregation of duties is maintained. They will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining access rights, aligned to security policies and internal control requirements as well as external regulations. Provides analysis and expertise for access governance related activities involving access entitlement reviews and certification, access procedure development, process improvement, and application/system on-boarding. Ensures that only authorised individuals have access to IT assets.

    Key Responsibilities (but not limited to) :

    • Responsible for the access management process across all SAP systems
    • Track and monitor SOD conflicts and any inappropriate use of IT systems. Escalate immediately where required
    • Work with HR to implement, track and monitor all changes required as a result of “Joiner, Mover, Leaver” requirements
    • Engage BA’s and domain architects on all teams in terms of matters related to SAP authorisation to ensure a full understanding of the business security requirements from a process and risk perspective.
    • Validate legitimacy of requests; ensure proper approvals and execute per the access policies, regulations and procedures
    • Develop and maintain user access application inventory
    • Distribute access control reports to support periodic reviews
    • Provide required Management Information Reports
    • Work with business stakeholders and participate in company projects to ensure that on-boarding of new applications is managed in alignment with data governance policies.
    • Work with the various architects to provide deep technical SAP advice, to influence the development of integrated solutions
    • Work with system or application owners to develop and document new user roles and permissions when needed.
    • Develop and implement regular access control process improvements
    • Performs security assessments; security authorisation, security planning, security policy development, security training, vulnerability assessments, security controls testing and risk assessments. Required to implement controls, conduct security awareness training, research new security tools and best practices and direct IT teams on how best to protect corporate information assets.
    • Review and build awareness of IT security standards and policies on effectiveness
    • GRC:- Responsible for all the work flows in GRC access control; SOD risks mitigation and remediation, responsible for UAR and SOD reporting, role uploads and mass roles modifications, responsible for all the GRC activities and authorization issues
    • SAP Authorizations: responsible for creating and maintaining security roles and profiles, ensuring users have proper authorization to perform tasks, support SAP projects, document security details for role design and modification procedures, evaluate alternative approaches, prototype as needed, recommend solutions, create and maintain SAP security documentation

    Professional Qualification and Certifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field, or equivalent work experience.

    Work Experience: 

    • 8 or more years SAP GRC Working Experience
    • 5-7 years’ experience gained in the effective design and implementation of SAP security controls and SAP authorisations 

    Knowledge and skills:

    • Strong knowledge of SAP, GRC, IT infrastructure, applications, business processes and technology supplier community
    • Experience in security management, security and network architecture and/or design
    • Experience in implementing and maintaining IT security processes
    • Experience in creating and reviewing IT security policies for compliance
    • Skills and knowledge in data privacy, best practices such as; defence in-depth, least privileges, need-to-know, separation of duties, access controls, encryption
    • Security testing experience
    • Expertise on SAP GRC Access Control 10.1, Process Control 10.1, Risk Management & policy Management will be added advantage. Good exposure to other Compliance tools will be an advantage.
    • Experience in conducting or participating in IT audits across the various areas within the information technology function

    Maintenance Planner / Scheduler

    Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, Planning & Scheduling, is responsible for planning and scheduling of maintenance repairs and projects. Technically strong and with software capability, must contribute to team deliverables and ensure resources are available and jobs set up for safe and efficient execution.

    • Ensures safety is always considered when planning / scheduling a task.  “What can go wrong and how can I build in steps to prevent it going wrong”
    • Spends adequate time in the field to scope work, track progress, relieve efficiency problems in the field and optimized estimates for future planning
    • Interprets work requests and determines work scope and technical specifications through liaison with stakeholders and Subject Matter Expert (SME). Determines resources required to execute the work, i.e. material, spares, labour, services and equipment. Prepares specifications for contract work.
    • Acquires the resources necessary for executing the work by preparing and justifying the necessary purchase, service and labour requests.
    • Tracks and reports labour performance indicators as required for departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Plans and manages the level of labour resources to ensure optimal backlogs.
    • Responsible for the compilation of a single, executable, integrated, site-wide schedule. Works with a team of Schedulers in the development of the integrated schedule.
    • Analyses the schedule on a daily basis and for mitigating schedule conflicts so that resources can be utilized effectively.
    • Liaises and works with Work Type Stewards to ensure that changes to plant conditions, or changed priorities, or any conditions or situations that may lead to schedule changes are understood and effectively communicated.
    • Determines and leads the sequence of projects, maintenance and routine work, ensuring that priorities are understood and accounted for, so that the available resources responsible for the execution of the work are deployed optimally.
    • Coordinates with Planners and Schedulers to ensure that all requisites to effectively execute to the schedule are completed.  Interfaces with key Operations stakeholders to ensure the availability of plant for the execution of work.
    • Ensure that existing resources are fully utilised, backlogs well managed.
    • Ensure that planned hours are accurate
    • Support the inventory team by adopting  the ‘stock check’ approach for all direct purchases
    • 4 week look ahead schedules are fully loaded for execution
    • Engage stakeholders (Operations, Maintenance, Contractors) about schedules, potential delays on outstanding work
    • Communicate backlog status (per Work Centre) to stakeholders
    • Schedule to be sent out for preview by mid-day Monday and signed off by Wednesday (of the same week)
    • Adhere to internal processes when planning & scheduling e.g. Routine Work Control Process
    • Mentor less experienced employees in their roles
    • Communicate with relevant stakeholders effectively (e.g. schedule conflicts, issues, delays
    • Mediate in resolving conflicts that might arise within the team

    Qualifications required:

    • N4 or ND Mechanical Engineering
    • OR, Recognised Trade Test in Mechanical Fitting or Instrumentation or Electrical or N.Dip with experience

    Relevant Experience:  

    • 5 years'  practical experience of repair, maintenance and rehabilitation to equipment related to planning discipline
    • Refining / Oil & Gas an advantage
    • Code 08 Driver's license
    • Software Proficiency:  Microsoft© application (outlook, word, and excel), Computerised Maintenance Management System & Primavera
    • Buying experience an advantage

    Manager - Retail Strategy

    Manage the Retail strategy programme by building an effective programme and change management plan from initiation through planning, design, implementation, monitoring and close out to deliver on all approved strategic initiative goals.
    Establish strong partnerships with key project managers (Ikhwezi, Sirius, Ultra etc.) and leverage retail, marketing, operations, network, engineering, finance and other cross functional resources for a sustained on time and within budget programme execution.
    Manage the post Retail restructuring change management process and effectively lead the competence assessment, knowledge management and best practices sharing of learnings across the business for continues team improvement
    Own the process of planning and optimizing the movement of fuel marketing, deregulation, and strategy across the value chain with focus on efficiency, reliability, and profitability, coordinating sales and marketing.
    Accountable for the end-to-end P&L and the value chain activities required to deliver it cross-functionally

    Financial Perspective

    Effectively lead and own the Retail strategy programme management with the de-regulation strategic planning process to achieve the Retail business unit goals by 2030:

    • EBITDA of $100
    • IRR > 20%
    • >30% hinterland (Western Cape, Eastern Cape, and part of Northern Cape) market share
    • Manage capex & opex to deliver key retail projects on time, within cost and in line with strategic business goals.
    • Responsible for delivering the Retail strategy programme by adhering to the Astron Energy project delivery process (PDP) with standard performance reports to steerco members
    • Monitor and benchmark market trends including competitor activity, regulatory changes, industry trends and new business opportunities to deliver the Retail & Marketing P&L.
    • Seeks opportunity to optimize OPEX
    • Develop and support with the consistent application of economic analysis for the preparation and submission of business cases
    • Develop and implement Pricing strategies for the various product channels and Retail business unit.
    • Provide price, supply and market updates as required on current market dynamics and/or competitor behaviours that may affect volume, product purchases, distribution and/or profitability
    • Manage the transfer pricing system for all products between business units and across countries.

    Customer Perspective

    • Facilitate analysis, identification, and prioritization of key strategic markets in collaboration with EVCO, Finance and other cross functional teams.
    • Assess market trends, customer behaviour and competitors
    • Conduct research and analysis of fuel regulation, policies, and external market forces
    • Keep abreast of retail industry and socio-economic conditions as they relate to the retail business and asses their impact on Retail’s game plan
    • Organize periodic stakeholder workshops and programme development sessions for internal and external stakeholders to inform them of retail trends and the retail business strategic priorities
    • Ensure that all policies and procedures for governance are adhered to and that appropriate internal controls are in place for management and reporting compliance

    Business Excellence

    • Manage the development of strategic initiatives from concept to execution including the Astron Energy deregulation strategic opportunities
    • Align departmental goals, processes, and resource allocation with the long-term retail business strategy whilst managing operational compliance with terms and conditions to include the creation and management of SLA’s and KPIs
    • Prepare and implement annual work plans, including strategic or innovative initiatives, with set delivery and financing targets.
    • Report monthly on programme implementation status, including annual monitoring reporting, financial reporting, audit, and update of the relevant PDP database
    • Undertake monitoring and evaluation of the retail strategy programme

    People Management

    • Develop High Performing teams within Retail with the ability to deliver on a broad range of business priorities
    • Build and nurture strong advisory relationships with key internal and external senior stakeholders including influencing executives and shareholders
    • Drive and oversee the retail and marketing team competence assessment and team capacity building process to deliver goals
    • Influence people from diverse backgrounds, embed new ways of working and help shape the ‘ONE’ Retail culture.
    • Set annual performance parameters and learning objectives, assess performance and provide feedback to business
    • Document programme lessons learnt and best practices and facilitate their dissemination and incorporation into the business
    • Support capacity building and networking of retail and cross functional teams to facilitate knowledge exchange and promote collaboration.
    • Work closely with PMs to ensure projects fit with the overall retail strategic programme and the broad Astron Energy strategic initiatives
    • Support and guide senior executive decision-making processes

    Professional Qualification and Certifications:

    • A master’s degree in business administration, project management, marketing, social sciences, or other relevant related fields.
    • Programme / Project Management Professional certification (PMI PMP, PRINCE2 or similar) is desirable

    Work Experience:

    • 15+ years of cumulative experience in project and change management including managing diverse portfolios
    • Strategic and managerial leadership in the oil industry with a good understanding of the South Africa market.
    • Track record in leading and developing cross functional business teams across multiple locations and in different geographical areas
    • Experience in the Fuel Industry, preferably in the Retail environment, is desirable
    • Entrepreneurial or startup experience is a plus

    Project Manager - IT

    Lead the delivery of IT projects from project initiation to transition to operations so as to deliver projects on time and within budget and to meet the desired business objectives. Follow the Astron Energy Value Office (VO) and Project Delivery Process (PDP) processes to ensure adherence to governance and project management guidelines. Manage projects through the PDP phases of identify and assess; select; define; execute and operate, review and track value. Key focus areas include: strong leadership, clear and timely decision making, stakeholder engagement, managing costs and measuring value, focus on health, safety and compliance.

    Work Experience: 

    • 10 or more years’ experience, preferably in petro chemical industry with a focus on Retail Service Stations, IT and/or the Refinery
    • 10+ years of program/project management experience

    • Strong track record of on-time, on-budget and to-specification delivery of projects
    • Organization and time management skills to keep projects on track and within budget
    • Excellent resource planning and task scheduling skills
