    Fire Engineer

    • Leading, developing, and mentoring team members to ensure the continued success of our Fire Engineering services offering.
    • Continuing the growth of new digital offerings to clients and ensure teams are engaged with new technology, and platforms as they become available.
    • Collaborating with the client directors to ensure our client, and work winning strategies are consistently implemented, strengthening our client experience.
    • Engaging regularly with the extended Buildings leadership team to facilitate strong collaboration.
    • Ensuring full responsibility for all design aspects within Mechanical Fire services, within the Built Environment, from conceptional to final design.
    • Implementation of all relevant codes of practice and ensuring that all design aspects / project standards comply with Zutari’s quality control procedures.
    • Development of new design software skills, incorporation of design led thinking and innovation into the engineering design process.

    Minimum Requirements

    • BSc/MSc, BEng/MEng, BTech/MTech
    • Minimum of 2-5 years’ experience as a Mechanical Fire Engineer within Building Services.
    • AutoCAD, Revit, BIM360
    • Site experience would be preferred.

    Quantity Surveyor

    Requirements

    • Experience in estimating, in engineering infrastructure & mining would be an advantage
    • Experience in measuring and compiling of bills of quantities using WinQS and DimX
    • Able to analyse tenders and compile reports
    • Administer contracts i.e. assess progress, prepare interim payment certificates, perform on/off site re-measurement, assess variations, prepare variation orders and appropriate registers, prepare contract price adjustment and retention calculations
    • Above average understanding in NEC form of contracts
    • Prepare and settle final accounts
    • Assist with evaluating and responding to contractual claims
    • Able to carry out cost control and understanding of cost reporting on projects
    • Experience in managing and evaluation compensation events
    • We are looking for a Registered PrQs who has preferably Engineering infrastructure experience to join our high-performance team with genuine opportunity for growth
    • Has some experience in client facing business activity and desired passion
    • Can lead different project simultaneously and manage teams

    Learning and Development Design Partner

    Role responsibilities

    • Responsible to support the Learning Experience (LX), People & Leaders in developing and implementing on strategic skill, development and career plans.
    • Coaches’ leaders and teams on evolving practices and processes, aligned to culture, codes and strategic imperatives. 
    • Cultivates an emotional connection amongst leaders and other employees aligned to our strategic objectives.
    • Learning curation, collaboration and partnering to develop and deliver exciting internal learning opportunities. 
    • Lead design, develop and implementation of the instructional design journey map (end-to-end independent and partnered approach) design for multi-delivery approach to learning offerings.
    • Leads learning programme management.

    • Developing and marketing ongoing user awareness of functionality.
    • Learning Management System (LMS) functional, reporting, and administrative functions to ensure accurate skills development reporting.

    Minimum requirements

    • Appropriate tertiary qualification (minimum).
    • Minimum of 5 years or more experience in Learning, and Development within a consulting environment at a corporate level.
    • Minimum of 2 years design experience working with Articulate Rise, and Storyline (highly advantageous)
    • Advanced Excel (mandatory).
    • Strategic career development conversations (mandatory).
    • Accredited Coach in Leadership, and High Performance (advantageous).
    • Experience working with cloud-based tools such as OneNote, SharePoint, and MS Teams (advantageous).
    • Digital analytical reporting (highly advantageous).

    Skills, and characteristics

    • Demonstrates exceptional skills in stakeholder management, project management, budget and commercial management, and negotiation.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities.

    Civil Engineer

    Introduction to Role

    • Zutari is currently recruiting for civil engineers, technicians or technologists who are keen to develop a career in the Bulk Infrastructure (Pumpstations and Pipelines) sector of the industry to be based in Cape Town. The particular need for this role is for a person who has the appetite to develop technical skills in designs of bulk infrastructure (water and sewer pumpstations, pipelines and associated hydraulics), including the preparation of tender documentation and contract administration.  

    Responsibilities

    • Perform highly complex engineering designs, calculations, and analysis of bulk water and sewage infrastructure systems.
    • Responsible for the design of bulk water and sewage infrastructure systems (specifically including pump stations, pipelines and reservoirs (hydraulic designs), with key contributions on 3D models, technical drawings and details.
    • Produce other key deliverables on projects, such as technical reports, specifications, and tender documentation.
    • Be a team player that is willing to collaborate across multiple disciplines and international geographies.

    Minimum requirements

    • BEng, BSc or BTech degree in Civil Engineering.  A MEng or MSc degree in Water Engineering will be an advantage.  
    • Proficiency in Civil3D, Revit, Bentley (WaterGEMS and Surge) or similar design software will be an advantage
    • Willing to travel for projects (local and international)
    • Valid driver’s licence for RSA
