    About the Job

    • Applications are invited from enthusiastic, qualified, experienced and deadline driven candidates for the above-mentioned position. The incumbent will provide comprehensive administrative functions to ensure an efficient, organized and coordinated Human Movement Science Department. The incumbent will provide a support system to the department of Human Movement Science’s Head of Department and staff members to ensure the smooth running of the Department.

    Minimum Requirements

    • A Bachelor Degree or Diploma qualification in Administration (M+3) (e.g Office Management, Bachelor of Administration, Public Administration etc.)
    • 3 years’ work experience in the Higher Education Sector as an Administrator

    Added Advantages

    • Knowledge and experience of health sciences.
    • Project Management, budgeting, finance, reporting, monitoring and evaluation skills.
    • ITS knowledge.
    • Driver’s license.
    • Advanced office language use (English).
    • Advanced ICT end-user skills.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide academic and general administrative support to the department (students, staff and guests).
    • Provide effective management of department admissions, registration, examination and graduation matters.
    • Make travel arrangements for department members.
    • Organize and prepare agendas and minutes for the
    • Provide secretariat for all departmental meetings.
    • Manage the HoD’s diary.
    • Contribute to the writing of departmental reports.
    • Administer budget controls to support the
    • Provide Human Resource administrative duties for the department.
    • Ensure compliance with the relevant legislation and policies.

    Clinical Administrator

    About the Job

The incumbent will provide comprehensive clinical admin functions to ensure an efficient, organized and coordinated Department of rehabilitative sciences. The incumbent will provide a support system to the department of rehabilitative science’s Head of Department and staff members to ensure the smooth running of the Department.

    Minimum Requirements

    • A Bachelor Degree or Diploma qualification in Administration (M+3) (e.g Office Management, Bachelor of Administration, Public Administration, Health Administration etc.)
    • 3 years’ work experience in the as an Administrator

    Duties
    The successful candidate will be required to engage in:

    Administration

    • Record keeping of clinical training attendance register.
    • Administer registration of students with HPCSA
    • Assist in clinical hours records of students
    • Manage transport itinerary for students and supervisors
    • Manage operational times of the clinic
    • Provide clinical and general administrative support to the departmental clinical team (students, staff and guests)
    • Provide effective administration of department clinical examinations.
    • Make clinical related travel arrangements for department members

    Front office management

    • Serve as a first point of contact for the clinic
    • Administer operations in the clinic which include but not limited to scheduling of appointments, patient check ins and check outs
    • Ensuring clinic supplies are available

    Record Keeping

    • Accurate patient files
    • Accurate student files
    • Accurate record of clinical equipment calibration
    • Accurate equipment inventory books
    • Keep clinic statistics

    Clinic and simulation lab

    • Report maintenance and infrastructural needs
    • Facilitate procurement of clinical tools

    Essential Competencies

    • Time management skills
    • Organizational and planning skills
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
