    Farm and Packaging Operations Assistant

    Job Description    

    We are looking for a Farm and Packaging operations assistant.

    • Will be required to work on the farms.
    • Will be reporting to the head office daily, with information/ updates on the checking of the fruit, packing of the fruit, processes and managing these to ensure a smooth and steady process. 

    Inherent Requirements    

    • Ability to implement and manage quality control procedures to ensure the consistent quality of fruit. 
    • Strong attention to detail in inspecting fruit for defects and ensuring that only high-quality produce is packed. 
    • Proven leadership and team management skills to oversee a team of pack house staff, ensuring productivity and quality standards are met. 
    • Proficiency in managing inventory, including tracking stock levels, ordering supplies, recons and minimizing wastage. 
    • Excellent communication skills to liaise with suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders. 
    • Strong problem-solving abilities to address any issues related to the packing process, equipment, or product quality. 
    • Willingness to work in a dynamic, seasonal industry with variable hours during peak production times. 
    • Package Control and Administration Previous experience would be beneficial; training will be provided for what is expected.

    Contract Coordinator

    Purpose of Role: 

    To effectively execute overall project administration duties to support the project management process for the successful delivery of projects. Ensure day to day administration of projects are administered in a timely manner and necessary tasks are performed proficiently.  Providing a high-quality support to keep a project running smoothly, such as documentation management, stakeholder liaison, project / meeting co-ordination, scheduling and monitoring in conjunction with strict deadlines and in accordance with company procedures. Manage and control the project administration function successfully, in order to contribute to the success of the business unit, in line with the objectives of the company.

    Key Accountabilities:

    • Ensure the project administration function runs in a stable and efficient manner by coordinating all necessary administrative requirements on projects
    • Monitor and expedite projects status to ensure due dates are met; Manage compliance of products from a delivery date, Technical specification and Quality Control perspective
    • Coordinate and integrate project schedules; Facilitate and run Project meetings, Kick off meetings and handover meetings
    • Liaise with Technical, Quality Control and Production on a regular basis in relations to documentation and project status; Liaise with Purchasing on deliverables
    • Serve as main point of contact for all project communication, including direct customer liaison and management of customer communication both internal and external
    • Maintain record document circulation, as well as retrieve and maintain project information; Implement technical and commercial specification, as well as manage relates queries
    • Manage production of Project units, Performance & Hydrostatic test through to job completion and delivery
    • Monitor received orders commercially, stage payments and invoice through to job close out
    • Produce weekly status reports (multiple projects)
    • Comply with and enforce all company policies and procedures, as well as carry your duties in a manner which conforms to current Health and Safety legislation, upholding company's Health and Safety Policy
    • Carry out all other reasonable tasks that may be delegated from time to time
    • Assist fellow employees with daily functions as and when required; Assist project commercial with reporting on order intake and turn over

    Inherent Requirements    

    EDUCATION:      

    • Matric   
    • Project Management Qualification / Office Administration

    EXPERIENCE:

    3-5 Years’ Project / Contract management experience- Essential

    REQUIREMENTS:  

    • Computer Literacy / SAP experience - Essential
    • Self-motivated and ability to work under pressure
    • Strong communication skills

    Credit Controller

    Job Description

    • The incumbent is required to ensure that cash is collected and recorded timeously.
    • To ensure that new accounts are credit worthy and that trade is happening between the two parties according to agreed terms. To ensure that the proper records are kept relating to accounts receivables.
    • Assist auditors on relevant audit queries

    Specific Responsibilities (Not Limited To):

    • Ensure customer payments are made according to the company credit terms
    • Control and manage all credit control related documents (Invoices, credit notes, credit applications, statements etc.)
    • Co-ordinate the credit application process
    • Maintain the accounts receivable master data
    • Daily resolving of queries relating to account receivables
    • Weekly and monthly management reporting on accounts receivables
    • Reconciliation of various accounts receivable accounts (Big accounts)
    • Execute and co-ordinate Foreign inter-company balance confirmations and the revaluations of foreign accounts
    • Arrange and manage the cash collection meetings
    • Perform other ad hoc activities within reason that may be allocated from time to time

    Inherent Requirements    

    Qualifications Required:

    • Grade 12 (Matric Senior certificate)
    • Post Grade 12 Qualification in Bookkeeping and /or Credit Control Function

    Experience Required:

    • 5 years Credit Controlling experience
    • Good telephonic and communication experience
    • Understand the south African law relating to the credit act.
    • Mature and professional towards internal and external customer
