    Intermediate Java Developer

    Role Purpose

    INTERNAL PROCESS

    • Managing a team of Financial Advisors
    • Develop plans to achieve sales targets in line with client centric practices.
    • Manage the adherence to operational processes, policies, and legislative requirements.
    • Develop action plans and initiatives to drive sales, motivate team and improve performance.
    • Communicate and implement approved team targets within area of responsibility.

    Broker Binder & Outsource Manager

    Role Purpose    

    • Development and implementation of Guardrisk’s strategic initiatives and overall management of the Broker and Binder relationships within the GGI division.

    Requirements    

    • Relevant tertiary qualification in line with insurance industry
    • FAIS compliant
    • At least 10 -15 years experience in the non life insurance industry
    • A good understanding of the insurance industry, particularly (claims, reinsurance, underwriting, insurance accounting and financial principles)
    • Ability to operate both independently as well as play an important role in the GGI division and the greater Guardrisk group 

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    • Development and implementation of Guardrisk’s strategic initiatives, including but not limited to new and existing business development and servicing of the Broker binders and outsource partnerships
    • Overall management of broker relationships with key focus on binder and outsource agreements
    • Ensuring compliance with the terms and conditions of various binders and outsource partnerships with specific focus on underwriting, reinsurance and claims
    • Maintaining key relationships with broker binder and outsource partners
    • Ensure strategic alignment between binder brokers and Guardrisk
    • Compiling and drafting of various management reports
    • Compiling and management of audit findings
    • Stakeholder engagements within various internal and external divisions and partners
    • Management of the profitability of the broker binder and outsource partnerships
    • Ongoing monitoring, identifying problem areas and ensuring corrective actions are implemented to ensure effective portfolio management
    • Driving sustainable growth within expected budget guidelines
    • Analysis and implementation of trends within identified divisions
    • Conduct Technical Underwriting Audits to vet the implementation of identified underwriting controls and conditions
    • Monitor compliance to company treaty limits and conditions
