    IT Service Design Lead

    Purpose of the Job

    Role Purpose

    • The purpose of the IT Service Designer Lead is to facilitate the establishment of an service design capability for the Shoprite Group’s Technology Department as well as guiding service owners with (i) their understanding of service design as a concept and discipline, and (ii) how best to design their own services so that they are appropriate (in terms of meeting desired requirements), sustainable and maintainable throughout their lifecycle.

    Job Objectives    

    • Establish an IT Service Design Capability within the Shoprite Group’s Technology Department.
    • Formulate and implement a Service Design Framework in accordance with industry good practices including (CobIT and ITIL). The framework will include applicable principles, standards, rules, processes and related templates aimed at ensuring that service risks are appropriately identified and catered for when services are designed.
    • Educate and communicate with stakeholders concerning what service design is, the value of service design and how to design services in compliance with the Service Design Framework.
    • Support service owners in the design of their services in compliance with the Service Design Framework.
    • Review and improve the Service Design Framework over time.
    • Be the champion of the IT Service Design Capability within the organisation.
    • Ensure that service design-related risks are identified and appropriately treated and reported.
    • Report on the delivery of services of the IT Service Design Capability.

    Qualifications    

    • National Diploma or Degree in information technology or related field - (essential)
    • Technology certifications related to information technology good practices. This may include CobIT, ITIL v4 (foundation Level) and/or other relevant industry-recognised certification which demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of what information technology is, how an information technology organisation should operate in accordance with good practices, how to design information technology services for success, etc  – (essential)

    Experience    

    • +6 years’ experience in an information technology-related role which demonstrates experience and advanced knowledge of designing processes, services and/or solutions (essential)
    • Strong and influential relationship management experience with stakeholders, colleaguesand users in pursuit of quality, value-adding service delivering - (essential)
    • Strong proficiency on O365 – (essential).

    DevOps Engineer III

    Purpose of the Job    

    • To assist the DevOps Practice Manager in the DevSecOps Discipline with DevOps best practices, training, coaching, pipeline implementation, roadmap and the roll-out of DevOps standards and toolchain used by IT development and operation teams.
    • This includes the creation and maintenance of both continuous integration, continuous deployment and release patterns using scripting languages to create templates for use by team for all type of deployments and technologies used.
    • Together with the DevOps Practice Manager, the DevOps Engineer will form the core of our DevSecOps discipline. This small team will help to implement and mature DevSecOps tool chains across the SDLC Delivery and Deployment teams, provide consulting and coaching to teams on DevSecOps, assist with implementing and maturing DevSecOps tool chains, provide training on DevSecOps Tool chain technologies and processes, and establish and rollout DevSecOps standards and best practices.

    Job Objectives    

    • Implement, maintain and support DevSecOps best practices, development standards and Software Development Lifecycle tools (SDLC). 
    • Provide occasional assistanceto IT Operation DevOps Engineers with incidence management and root cause analysis on DevOps implementations.
    • Assist the DevOps Practice Manager with updating and maintaining existing DevSecOps training material, the DevOps SharePoint site and the creation of new DevOps training material and DevOps documentation.
    • Assist with internal training on DevSecOpstechnologies, tools and DevOps fundamentals, including mentoring and coaching of developers, QA engineers, security teams and the various IT operations teams.
    • Provide occasional assistanceto IT Operation DevOps Engineers with incidence management and root cause analysis on DevOps implementations.

    Qualifications    

    • Grade 12
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Diploma in Software Engineering or equivalent
    • Industry Certification: MicrosoftAZ-400 (DevOps) Certification
    • Industry Certification: Any AWS or Azure Certification

    Experience    

    • 4+ years Experience in IT, IT operations and/or software development environment (Essential)
    • 3-4 years of Extensive Experience using Azure DevOps for DevSecOps pipeline orchestrations (Essential)
    • 5 years of Solid working experience with SDLC Tools (Essential)

    Senior Organizational Design Specialist

    Purpose of the Job    

    • The purpose of Senior Organisational Design Specialist role is to design, develop, execute, and monitor organisation design and job architecture related solutions and services for the Shoprite Group to ensure a sound job architecture process is followed to maintain a hierarchy of jobs which provides a foundation for compensation structures within the organisation.

    Employee Centric Delivery

    •  Designing and maintaining the methodology for the organisational design and job architecture.
    •  Developing quarterly Job Architecture reports as and when required.
    •  Developing and maintaining job architecture including levels of authority and job families.
    •  Delivering organisational design through business consulting and benchmarking processes.

    • The purpose of the Business Analyst III role is to strategize and facilitate effective and competitive business processes by eliciting, analysing, validating, and documenting business organisational and/or operational requirements, providing cost-benefit analysis, suitable alternatives and recommendations.
