    Finance Manager (USAVE)

    Purpose of the Job    

    • The purpose of the Finance Manager, USAVE role is to provide strategic and operational financial direction to the USAVEbusiness unit. The role will be responsible forthe strategic planning of the USAVEfinance function andoverall financial managementwhich includes budgeting, financial reporting, planning and analysis to enable business decision-making as well as ensuring that appropriate financial processes, controls, and standards are in place.

    Job Objectives

    QA Engineer III (Digital Commerce)

    Purpose of the Job    

    • Identify opportunities for automation within software processes.

    Purpose of the Job    

    • The purpose of the MMA Team Lead role is to actively grow Shoprite’s Money Market Account share nationally within these specific areas CPT – Langa | Khayelitsha Limpopo - Louis Trichardt , Tzaneen. The role does so by delivering on the tactical sales implementation plan.

    Accountant: Cash & Banking

    Purpose of the Job    

    • In the role of Cash and Banking Accountant your portfolio leverages your specialised tactical knowledge of the Cash and Banking activities across business entities as a key success factor in providing support to a variety of financial, operational and project scenarios. You will act in a supporting capacity to the Cash and Banking Financial Manager in order to maintain Group wide Cash and Banking partnerships, policies and processes, setting up and maintenance of basic system configurations. Core to this role is the oversight of daily, weekly, monthly and annual account reconciliation and reporting activities related to all in-store cash and banking transactions: daily cash, electronic and wallet tenders received. You will lead a financial team and work closely with a cross-functional team of technical and business stakeholders who participate in matrix structured projects, facilitating, co-creating and implementing sustainable Financial Services solutions. Whilst the scope of the role is SA based there is an expectation that this role extends full support where necessary and relevant to Non-RSA - providing guidance on various Non-RSA banking projects and accounting (and where possible replicating processes, systems and solutions)

    Job Objectives    

    • Act as key support to the Cash and Banking Financial Manager, by providing oversight and actively participating in cash and banking activities, including but not limited to, account reconciliations, project implementation, team training and guidance, reporting, resolution of in-store cash and banking transactional activity, finops guidance and collaboration with external banking stakeholders
    • Manage the various aspects of cash and banking in the Shoprite Group including new store openings, cash in transit, cash processing, cash issuing at the bank and in-store cash-deposit processes.

    • Effectively lead, partake and give feedback in meetings with various stakeholders in the financial services area with both internal and external parties.
    • As a cash and banking subject matter expert, communicate with store management regarding various in-store queries and controls and provide them with the necessary guidance to ensure a smooth in-store transactional experience.
