    Receiving Clerk

    Job Description

    RAINBOW is on the hunt for a Recieving Clerk to join our Processing P2 Plant in KZN. The role will be based in Hammarsdale and reporting to the Stores Controller. The purpose of the role is to provide support to receiting functions as a Receiving Clerk within the Stores department and to work with cross functional teams. 

    Minimum Requirements

    • Grade 12 (Matric) with relevant numeric subject.
    • Relevant diploma and or degree would be an advantage.
    • 2 years relevant experience in a store or warehouse environment.
    • Relevant SAP experience.
    • Computer Literate.
    • Must have a valid EB (code 08) driver’s license, (code 10) would be an added advantage.
    • Strong people management skills Attention to detail.
    • Proactive.
    • Good analytical skills.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    Receiving:

    • Receive all stock item and or deliveries in a compliant and timely manner with the and necessary documentation .
    • Capturing of all stock item and deliveries within the standard process and procedure.
    • Ensure compliance with established procedures and Company standards in maintaining effective control over the physical product flow into the warehouse.
    • Accept all deliveries of stock for the warehouse including ensuring that they are not damaged, the cold chain has been maintained and that everything ordered is present and accounted for.
    • Raise delivery notes against the relevant accounts.
    • Return stock to suppliers, where necessary.
    • Ensure all stock has serial numbers.
    • Odering of PPE and stationery from stores.
    • Complete the GRN for stock received from suppliers and forward to the Warehouse Controller.
    • Introduce all stock delivered into the warehouse.
    • Administer all paperwork and delivery notes as per defined procedures. Complete required documentation, categorisation and any labelling per Processing standards.
    • Maintain timely input to SAP and ensure accurate stock transaction records.
    • Information and Data Management
    • Accurately and regularly capture data into SAP to enable access to reliable and accurate stock transactions and related data and reporting for trend analysis and decision making.
    • Ad Hoc Administration file and safeguard records within area of responsibility.
    • Compile ad hoc spread sheets.
    • Daily and monthly stock take reporting.

    Safety and Security

    • Safeguard the stock in the warehouse at all times against loss and damage.
    • Comply with applicable company policies including those pertaining, but not limited to health, safety, environment, risk and quality, including HACCP/ISO.
    • Conduct housekeeping in accordance with standard operating procedures.

    Effective Teamwork and Self-Management

    • Take ownership and accountability for tasks and activities and demonstrate effective self-management in terms of planning and prioritising, and self-development.
    • Follow through to ensure that quality and productivity standards of work are consistently and accurately maintained.

    Administration Assistant

    Minimum Requirements

    Duties & Responsibilities

    To support the sales team and provide an important link between the managers and  their customers by managing the processes of all sales-related paperwork whilst resolving queries and arranging appointments to visit new and established customers.

    Sales Administration

    • Manage the price capturing process into the system.
    • Send price survey confirmations to customers every 2 weeks.
    • Maintain electronic and paper-based customer records and information.
    • Compile weekly performance feedback by sub-category for Regional Account Managers / National Account Managers.
    • Prepare monthly expense claims.
    • Monthly budget management – scrutinize reports and reverse relevant charges to correct cost Centre, and extract cost detail on request.
    • Manage business accrual Sallies as required.
    • Maintain MSIT budgets controls by customer/category.
    • Maintain the timeous Loading of Customer cycle and ad hoc deals.
    • Managing OOS and Out of Sequence deliveries.
    • Monitor and profile PI allocations and communicate to manager.
    • Monitor weekly pricing on key SKU's in Customers by region.
    • Monitor implementation of key price points vs RRSP.
    • Highlight to relevant NAM where objectives are not being achieved.

    Promotion Grid Maintenance:

    • Capture and maintain all activities on the promotional grid and publishing internally.
    • Responsible for the accuracy and the compliance of the retailer promotional grid.
    • Ensure promo grid changes timeously are communicated to Customer Marketing & Supply chain team.
    • Weekly Advert trackers and Scorecards.

    Team Coordination and Self-Management

    Assistant Farmer

    •  House Preparation prior to placement in order to create ideal conditions for bird production.
    •  Chick Placement – co –ordinate and monitor staff.
    •  Post placement of chicks (Brooding conditions) – Evaluation of chick quality, recording of vent temperatures, temperature
    • setting,
    •  Growing conditions – Daily monitoring of the bird performance which entails feed intake, water recordings, temp and
    • humidity recordings, mortality recordings.
    •  Ventilation management – Adjust ventilation static pressure to achieve minimum and maximum bird requirement.
    •  An operating MDWT environment.
    •  Water Management - Water sampling prior to placement, flushing of the water lines three times in a week, sanitation of house
    • water reticulation, daily water pressure setting and nipple heights.
    • Feed management – Receiving and Recording of feed deliveries relative to feed programme; daily bin stock counts;
    • management of feed heights; adjustment of feeder levels according to bird’s size; monitoring of feed quality(% of fine feed); 
    • sampling of feed when the truck arrives.
    • Outsource activities – Preparation of the house environment prior to depletion.
    • Biosecurity and Farm sanitation – Maintaining an effective biosecurity programme by practicing good hygiene,
    • vaccination and disease prevention.
    • Bird Health – Daily monitoring and activity of birds, and sending of post mortems to the laboratory as per VCD;
    •  Record Keeping – Keep the documentation files updated that is KFC, health and safety files; feed recording; house chart
    • records; rodent control, mortality records.
    • Staff management – Keep and update daily registers, MDWT’s, disciplinary records, training records; review meetings.
