• Ensure efficient and effective management of the day-to-day operations of the Steelpoort Mining Supply Park (“MSP”)
• Management of maintenance, security, gardens, and cleaning services.
• Ensure that utility consumption including monthly meter readings are managed, meters are well maintained and kept in working order.
• Ensure all equipment, furniture, and infrastructure are effectively maintained.
• Manage and oversee of the MSP service providers, contractors, and any other third-party service providers.
• Ensure all buildings and facilities remain structurally sound and legal compliant.
• Promptly address any water reticulation problems
• Daily inspections of the MSP common use areas
• Ensure proper waste management
• Ensure regular maintenance of all firefighting equipment
• Establish an emergency reaction unit and protocol with Lion Smelter in case of an emergency.
• Safety training to security, cleaning and garden contractors and ensure equipment used by the contractors are safety compliant and always used in a safe manner.
• Ensure all building insurance and health & safety compliance requirements are met and prepare and deliver reports as required.
• Risk management.
• Management of security and access control.
• Tenant management i.e., compliance to park rules, health and safety and resolution of general queries

The Role

• The successful person will become a member of a hardworking and committed team who are responsible for performing planned maintenance, reactive breakdown maintenance and shutdown work across our Utilities Department.

You will be responsible for:

The planned and preventative maintenance and repairs for a vast array of equipment, including:

• Gas turbines, Steam turbines & Gas fired boilers;
• Various HP and LP multi stage, positive displacement feedwater pumps and associated pipework and valve assembly’s
• Blowers, compressors, tanks and pressure vessels
• You will also ensure safety and permit to work systems and procedures are adhered to; and
• Have the ability to work un-supervised

About You
This role would suit an experienced Turbine Technician with well-practiced problem solving skills and ideally with previous experience working in a complex hydrometallurgical process plant. 
You will also have:

• A Trade or Engineering related disciplined qualification;
• Previous experience working within a power, water and/or gas plant

Thorough understanding and/or previous experience with some of our on-site power generation asset troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of:

• GE LM2500+DLE Gas Turbines
• Siemens V40A Steam Turbines
• Single stage RLHB24 Coppus Turbines
• Various Caterpillar and Cummins diesel black start generators
• Various multi-stage, positive displacement water pumps and diaphragm dosing pumps
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office; and
• A valid and current Manual Drivers Licence.
