    Site Security Manager

    Job Description

    • Site Security Manager – FSS – Cape Town
    • The position of a Site Security Manager is vacant in Cape Town reporting to the Regional and General Manager.
    • The overall purpose of the position is to ensure that all site specific security requirements are adhered to and that the Client’s needs are efficiently and professionally met (as per the SLA) at all times.  To ensure the posting of Security Officers at the Site and to ensure that pro-active measures are taken in securing the premises.

    Experience, Requirements and Qualifications:

    • Grade 12 (Matric) Certificate of equivalent.
    • PSIRA Grade A registered and accredited.
    • No Criminal Record or any pending cases.
    • Valid driver’s license with own reliable transport.
    • Minimum 4 - 5 years’ Corporate/Facilities Security Experience.
    • Staff Management experience essential.
    • Computer literacy and very strong Admin Skills.
    • Must be physically fit and in good health.
    • CCTV Camera Management and Equipment monitoring and Control.
    • Must reside in Cape Town or willing to relocate on own cost.
    • Incumbents should be prepared to work shifts if and when required and do site visits after hours.

    Job Description / Key Performance Areas: (Not totally inclusive)

    • Maintaining good relations between Fidelity Security Services and the client with regard to security services rendered.
    • Daily feedback and liaison with Fidelity Security Services Management and Client
    • Compiling, distribution and communication on daily, weekly and monthly reports.
    • Compiling, distribution and communication on all Incident, Accident and Investigation reports.
    • Obtaining of statements of all Investigations.
    • Ensuring the posting of Security Officers are done timeously for full site coverage on both day shift and night shift.
    • Ensuring that all Security Officers meet the contractual requirements as stipulated by the client.
    • Constantly evaluating the service levels provided and making recommendations to the client regarding the improvement of services.
    • Ensuring continuous assessment of the Client’s premises and minimizing as far as possible risky access and creating several barriers to would be criminals.
    • Auditing and verifying the access registers on a daily basis and generating exception reports.
    • General management and supervision of security staff and ensuring all administrative queries are dealt with promptly such as leave, site changes, rostering, etc.
    • Managing all projects concerning new business and ensuring the smooth take over thereof.
    • Ensuring that all HR/IR related queries are dealt with promptly and professionally.
    • Investigating incidents and submitting relevant weekly/monthly incident reports to Management.
    • Attend all meetings with FSS Management and with the Client.

    Wireman - Technical Sales, Deep South

    MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:  

    • To assist the Installations Technician with installing of cabling of an alarm system, drilling and be able to connect detectors and the panel. Be able to power-up and walk-test the system.


    QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:

    • Minimum Grade 10 or equivalent qualification
    • Minimum 2 years experience as a Wireman
    • Electronic knowledge advantageous

    JOB REQUIREMENTS & OTHER ATTRIBUTES:

    • PSIRA registered advantageous
    • Proven ability to work under pressure and show attention to detail
    • Knowledge of programming.

    DUTIES

    • Assist technician with installations of alarm and security equipment
    • Assist technician by removing old equipment from clients premises
    • Assist by running new cables, applying glue, drill holes, mount detectors, panels, contacts, lights, etc
    • Inform technician of any shortfalls or limitations of the equipment and tools
    • Inform technician of cabling required for an installation
    • Assist technician with user functions and be able to do a handover
    • Clean vehicles and premises after an installation

    Quality Inspector - Cape Town

    Overall Purpose of the Job:

    • The aim of a Quality Inspector is to inspect Dealer and In-house alarm installations.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

    • Grade 12
    • Previous technical alarm experience – proven track record.
    • PSIRA Registration – Grade C.
    • Computer literate – Microsoft Office and Listener.
    • Driver’s license (essential)
    • Sober habits and candidate must be presentable.
    • Good communication skills.
       

    Main Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Schedule inspections with clients and capture the inspection results when needed.
    • Capture results and file all inspection results when needed.
    • Do 8 inspections and complete all inspection documentation daily
    • Generate inspection reports based on the inspection outcome.
    • Collect photographic evidence on inspection failures
    • Report status of inspections to management and assist in determining common failure reasons with the aim to minimize failures.
    • Liaise with Dealer and In-house management regarding inspection results.
    • Analyse and report trends found.
    • Will be required to travel to other branches.
    • Vehicle to be kept clean and tidy at all times
    • Follow all relevant Standing Operating Procedures
    • Ensure that the disciplinary code is adhered to at all times
    • Assistance with any client problems or complaints
    • Attend all required meetings and training sessions
    • Standing Operating Procedures must be upheld
    • Meeting and keeping on agreed times
    • High standard of service must be upheld

    Fleet Management Fitment Technician- Pietermaritzburg

    Overall purpose of the job:

    • To complete hardware installations to the highest quality and within the required timelines.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    •  Complete hardware installations to the highest quality and within the required timelines

    Junior Electronic Test Technician

    Overall Purpose of the job: 

    • The Junior Electronics Technician is responsible for the testing and troubleshooting of electronic equipment, parts, and systems according to engineering instructions and customer specifications

     

    Minimum qualifications and experience:

    • Matric qualification with 2+ years of demonstrated relevant experience
    • Computer literate with basic knowledge of IT networks and terminology
    • Successful completion of the FADT NRC Basic Electronics skills test.
       

    Job Requirements & Other Attributes:

    •         The ability/skill to troubleshoot Electronic systems to PCB module level using various test equipment.
    •         Ability to read and interpret electronic schematic diagrams
    •         Use of Power Supplies, Oscilloscopes, Signal generators, Digital MultiMeters and Frequency Counters
    •         Knowledge of proper PCB board handling and ESD prevention practices
    •         Hands-on problem-solving style
    •         Self-motivated and self-directed, requiring minimal oversight to meet objectives and timelines
    •         Keeping current with applicable technology

    Main duties & Responsibilities:

    •         Perform incoming inspection, testing and repair of faulty systems and equipment received from Customers or Service Technicians, using approved testing procedures and schematics
    •         Repair or replace defective or improperly functioning equipment that failed inspection, as per Supplier Technical specification
    •         Setting up of specific test apparatus or test equipment to conduct functional, operational and soak tests to evaluate performance and reliability of complete systems and individual components
    •         Fabricate the necessary cables and jigs for use with test equipment and assemblies as needed
    •         Complete the required paperwork and test records for all tested equipment
    •         Maintain warranty, service and repair records
    •         Perform quality checks on repaired equipment to ensure proper operation
    •         To assist with product and related training activities and technical support
    •         To identify and suggest improvements on training practices and documentation
    •         Test documentation and procedures may NOT be altered without your Line Manager’s approval.
    •         Maintain a high standard and neat workshop environment
    •         Abide by company’s Health and Safety policy and procedures
    •         Contribute to team effort by performing other tasks as appropriate and/or required

    Installation Technician

    • Obtain customer codes before attending a call daily and when on Standby
    • Complete handovers
    • Complete invoices and job cards after every installation
    • Provide feedback to Manager / Supervisor and Call Centre upon completion of a call
       

    Performance Standards (Technical):

    • Ensure that installation corresponds to Sales Rep’s quotation
    • Ensure that alarms are programmed according to FADT prescribed standards
    • Ensure that the correct details are quoted
    • Adhere to SHE requirements at all times
    • Ensure that the correct customer details are obtained prior to attending the call
    • Ensure that handovers, invoices and job cards are completed accurately and within prescribed standards
    • Ensure that feedback is provided timeously to the relevant parties

    • Keep stock up to date and assist storeman with stock take
    • Keep the company vehicle clean
    • Submit petrol slips
