    Sales Representative - Channel

    You will be communicating with existing customers, gathering market intelligence, and benchmarking against our competition to know and understand the market requirements. You will support colleagues and customers in Southern Africa on these products to ensure targets and budgets are achieved.

    Your Main Responsibilities

    • Achieve sales based on allocated target while keeping margin targets in line with company’s expectations
    • Develop and implement strategies to grow allocated target Segments
    • Prepare monthly forecasts, reports and other documentation as required by Management
    • Implement and keep the Sales CRM Flat File up to date (sales calls, opportunities etc.)
    • Conduct site visits and be able to advise customers on technical electrical solutions for their requirements

    Qualifications

    Your essential skills we are looking for

    • Electrical Degree or National Diploma (N6 or higher level with electrical qualification)
    • Must be able to do technical and product presentations to customers
    • Presentation skills, public speaking
    • Good Commercial and Contract knowledge
    • Fundamental knowledge of power management products and pricing
    • At least 3 years technical Sales Experience
    • Willingness to travel throughout Northern Province.
    • Computer skills – Microsoft office suite
    • Ability and willingness to work in a diverse environment
    • Ability and willingness to travel – have valid driver’s license
    • Good command of English language

    Sales Engineer - Heavy Industry & Mining

    The incumbent in this role is expected to develop and sustain relationships with customers management, business units, central functions, and external partners.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Direct responsibility for developing large project specfications in the segment for LV, transformer and MV products . Responsible for building and coordinating the pipeline and positioning Eaton at FEED / Detailed Design stage to support revenue generation
    • Responsible for leading, coordinating and guiding specification activity in the segment: Work closely with their team, marketing and BU to prioritize target customers and decision makers and ensure that key points of influence are covered and that target account plans are being implemented
    • Building Eaton’s image in the defined segment in target accounts: Lead the effort to increase Eaton’s visibility with end users and to establish Eaton’s credibility as a provider of engineered systems. A key focus will be on getting Eaton products added to AVL’s in these specialized segments.
    • Deliver segment value proposition messages: Deliver the compelling story of why customers should do more business with Eaton rather than our competition. This message needs to be captured in sales presentations and collateral material as well as personally conveyed by the incumbent to our customers and to our selling resources.
    • Spec-in capabilities: Build and develop strong relations with local and central application engineers, get Eaton’s products specified. Identify and select the key specifiers and consultants in the target segment and develop and support the execution of an effective plan for getting Eaton specified for major projects.
    • Provide system design assistance and application support to client, consulting engineers and partners in the territory/market for IEC Assemblies. Design assistance includes product selection, layout, competitive comparison, elevation drawings, configuration, etc.
    • Deliver training programs to customers on advanced topics including safety, reliability and product technology that differentiate Eaton in the marketplace.
    • Gather customer feedback and provide input to product management in an effort to improve product acceptance in the marketplace and drive roadmap development.
    • Deliver on Sales Target

    Qualifications

    Education Level Required

    • BSc/ MSc in in a related field (ideally Electrical Engineering) or equivalent experience

    Years And Area Of Experience Required

    • Ideally experience between 3-5 years combining sales, R&D, program management and business development.

    Technical Knowledge

    • A strong background in the Industrial/Mining segment, or energy management.

    Soft Skills

    • Commercially astute
    • Experience or knowledge in industry/application of assigned key account preferred
    • Previous major account selling experience required Must be an excellent team player
    • Fluent in written and spoken English
    • Good organization, communication and project management skills
    • Initiative and self-management skills
    • Presentation skills

    Sales Representative - Commercial Buildings (LV)

    The sales representatives are going to be the key member to the success of growing and maintaining relationships with local/international panelboards for the Data Centre and Commercial Building segment. They must provide proactive leadership around issues and opportunities for their segment.

    Your Main Responsibilities

    • Promoting and selling Eaton electrical LV solutions through the panel builders
    • Getting Eaton LV solution specified at the Electrical consulting Engineers
    • Ensuring panel builders are trained in using Eaton Configuration tools
    • Promoting Eaton steel work assemblies IEC61439 xEnergy Basic / Lite and xEnergy Main upto 4000A
    • Promoting Eaton Circuit breaker solutions MCCB/MCB and ACB’s
    • Developing and coordinating market share and monthly forecasts of financial performance
    • Advising and counselling Segment leader on operating strategies and forecasting of stock Inform management of results and recommend corrective actions to address customer issues.
    • Developing and implementing marketing campaigns to develop the brand. Having compliance with Eaton corporate policy
    • Being able to present to customers via power point

    Qualifications

    Your essential skills we are looking for:

    • Being educated in N6 / S4 in Electrical Engineering
    • Having 4+ years experiment
    • Having a good knowledge of how to grow market share, and good knowledge of LV products
    • Being able to communicate with employees at all levels, being a great team player,
    • Having analytical and problem-solving skills
    • IEC61439 understanding
