    Senior Software Developer

    Job description

    Purpose:

    The Senior Software Developer will form a vital part of a team of C# Developers who are responsible for creating cutting-edge software that supports critical business processes. The Senior Software Developer will be familiar with advanced programming techniques and design patterns and, in accordance with the Technical Lead, will provide guidance to the other developers. This candidate will report to the Software Development Team Lead.

    Duties will include, but not limited to:

    Primary Duties

    • Develop cutting-edge software using the latest development tools and frameworks.
    • Unit-test all software artifacts.
    • Maintain current systems (web/other) and develop new systems (web/other) using the latest technologies.
    • Collaborate with Product Owners and Test Analysts in developing, testing and deploying systems components.
    • Research and develop new technologies.
    • Provide second/third line support to IT for software deployed into company eco system.
    • Analyse and resolve complex and high impact production issues where required.
    • Monitor systems performance and ensure all SLA’s are met.
    • Assist technical writers with technical documentation and user manuals related.
    • Support to Team
    • Transfer of business and technical knowledge to the greater team.
    • Technical guidance and mentoring of developers.
    • Support to Technical Lead and Software Development Manager
    • Assist in enforcing Agile and Scrum methodology in the teams.
    • Assist in code reviews.
    • Assist in coordinating Pair Programming.
    • Assist in implementation of best practices, coding standards and relevant methodologies.

    Technical Requirements:

    • Proven experience in internet technology and web development.
    • Proven experience in coding with an understanding of system architectures and knowledge of SOA.
    • Solid knowledge of OO, development methodologies and applying patterns.
    • Ability to work alongside Architects to integrate and propose viable solutions to business.
    • Databases: MS SQL Server.
    • Software: C#; ASP.NET, XML, SOAP, HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, JSON, Stored Procedures, Visual Studio.

    Essential Requirements:

    • 5 years’+ hands-on development experience.
    • Computer Science related degree, diploma or similar qualification.
    • Experience in working with agile teams and successfully delivering agile based software projects.
    • Be prepared to work in a 24/7 environment.

    Purpose:

    The Sports Trader is passionate about sports and together with the Head of Desk is responsible for trading and compiling odds for a wide variety of sports events. This role shall manage the risk on various matches and keep up to date with any market changes.

    Duties will include, but not limited to:

    • Compile odds for a wide variety of sporting markets
    • Monitor real-time sports events/ results and perform live trading
    • Manage the positions of each sport and take action to ensure maximum profitability
    • Perform customer analysis
    • Monitor customers and bet limits
    • Investigate and analyse market trends to obtain insight that assist in the prediction of customer betting patterns
    • Observe competitor activity and make real time adjustments where appropriate
    • Update databases that will assist with trading/ compilations
    • Liaise with various internal departments in relation to sportsbook related escalations
    • Develop trading skills-set by working closely with senior members of staff
    • Keep up-to-date with sporting activity by following sports events and new updates
    • Maintain high level of awareness on internal policies, systems and procedures

    Essential Requirements:

    • Minimum matric or equivalent qualification
    • Good knowledge in live trading and basic knowledge in pre-match trading

    Internal Auditor

    Job description

    The Audit team is looking for an Internal Auditor to join their team.

    Reporting to the Head of Auditing, your role is to examine and evaluate the adequacy, effectiveness and efficiency of the organisation’s internal control systems and procedures and recommend corrective actions to improve operations, enhance internal controls and reduce costs.

    Duties will include, but not limited to:

    • Internal Audit
      • Develop risk–based annual audit plans detailing the scope, nature and timing of audit activities.
      • Design internal audit procedures and work programs.
      • Conduct internal audits to assess the adequacy, effectiveness and efficiency of the established internal controls and procedures.
      • Identify key areas of risk within the organisation and propose appropriate controls to mitigate the risks.
      • Discuss audit findings and recommendations with line managers and report significant issues to Senior Management.
      • Prepare audit reports in line with the approved audit plan.
      • Monitor the timely implementation of the management actions recommended in the audit reports.
      • Provide Senior Management with an opinion on the adequacy, effectiveness and efficiency of the internal controls in the organisation.
    • Continuous improvement
      • Assist the development of an internal control culture, including training of staff.
      • Monitor the trends and developments in the internal audit area.
      • Conduct ad-hoc investigations and reviews as requested by Senior Management. Liaise with the external governing bodies on compliance and internal control issues.

      • Collate and draft replies to regulators and governing entities.

    Essential Requirements:

    • Relevant internationally recognised Auditing certification and qualification
    • Minimum 5 - 10 years relevant work experience in an Internal Audit department or internal control function (Ecommerce, Marketing , Financial, etc industries)
    • Proven solid experience as an Internal Auditor in Audit techniques (work programs, tests, sampling, documentation, reports)
    • Advanced MS office experience
