    SHEQ Practitioner Environmental (North West)

    BALANCED SCORECARD PILLARS, ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    SAFETY, HEALTH, ENVIRONMENT AND QUALITY

    • Identify and assess level of continuous risk exposures in area of responsibility by considering exposures to business, financial, legal issues, people, equipment, material, environment, processes, etc.
    • Consider the level of risk, apply mitigation and implement control measures for residual risk (set objectives, minimum requirements, etc.)
    • Comply with SHEQ requirements (SHEQ Toolbox)
    • Utilise the Integrated Management System (IMS) to initiate, investigate and report SHEQ status us

    BUSINESS PROCESSES 

    Environmental Management:

    • Identify Environmental risks and determine the impact they may have on the business
    • Ensure effective implementation and compliance for ISO 14001

    • Conduct audits in line with environmental authorisations
    • Coordinate Environmental Awareness initiatives (internal and external)

    • Managing and monitoring Air Quality compliance
    • Compiling monthly environmental topics for awareness

    • Participate in Public Participation Meetings Assist with EIA processes

    Environmental Audits:

    • Conduct internal Environmental Audits and write reports.

    Reporting:

    • Monthly reporting.
    • Review monthly near misses and incidents
    • Compile environmental reports

    • Manage continuous improvement through Operational Excellence

    Requirements

    Minimum qualifications: 

    • Certificate or National Diploma in Environmental Management or equivalent.
    • 4 years’ relevant experience, preferably 1 year supervisory experience.

    Additional qualifications: 

    • Demonstrate an understanding of ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 Auditing.

    Maintenance Practitioner (Planner) -Steelpoort

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • SAFETY, HEALTH, ENVIRONMENT AND QUALITY

    CUSTOMERS

    • Regularly check success of the PM schedule in the field
    • Incorporate suggestions from artisans, supervisors and production personnel to continuously improve the schedule in terms of safety, duration and cost
    • Coach Users on PM Functions

    BUSINESS PROCESSES

    Maintenance Support:

    • Link new materials to Bills of Materials and update Bills of Materials on SAP
    • Load New Task Lists and update existing Task Lists on GSAP
    • Capture, update and maintain maintenance plans on GSAP

    Schedule Preparation:

    • Decide whether to use internal or contractor artisans
    • Create Work Orders and allocate the Task Lists
    • Create Purchase Requisitions for non-stock items and allocate Components
    • Release Purchase Requisitions / Work Order Permits
    • Release Planned Work Orders
    • Check material and follow up on material availability (arrange expediting if necessary)
    • Report discrepancies for scheduled materials on a weekly basis 
    • Release Planned Work and monitor the Forward Workload 
    • Estimate work order costs
    • Allocate Resources, arrange weekly planning meetings and create the Schedule
    • Estimate cost of scheduled work for the week
    • Communicate and issue the schedule
    • Print Work Orders as required 

    Work Analysis:

    • Investigate W/O exceptions
    • Produce various routine and special reports as required
    • Contractor Management:
    • Optimise resource levelling through the use of internal or contractor artisans for planned work
    • Create Service Entry Sheets for planned work
    • Verify contractor attendance the week before the job is scheduled to start

    SHAREHOLDER VALUE

    Budgeting:

    • Prepare cost forecast for each schedule
    • Forecast material required for each schedule
    • Compare actual cost of schedule to planned cost

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE:

    • Trade Certificate or Planning Diploma
    • N3 or Grade 12 Certificate
    • N4 Studying towards N5 (Internal)

    Maintenance SAP

    • 5 years relevant experience in a Planning Office environment, preferably 2 years supervisory experience.

    TFC Maintenance Coordinator Instrumentation (Steelpoort)

    Job Responsibilities:

    Safety, Health, Environment and Quality:

    Customers:

    • Understand how the operation works and the effect of the instrumentation on its deliverables.

    • Conduct regular schedule plant inspections.
    • Provide feedback to operational and maintenance personnel in designated plant areas after completion of required tasks.
    • Attend designated plant areas production and maintenance meetings as required.
    • Monitoring of MES in area of responsibility, ensuring correctness of data.
    • Continuous improvement around instrumentation in assigned plant area.
    • Identify and register improvement projects.

    Business Process:

    Unplanned Interventions:

    • Attend to breakdown quickly and safely.
    • Capture all data related to the stoppage to aid in determining the root cause.
    • Communicate ways of improving how the breakdown was handled to the Maintenance Specialist.

    Planning:

    • Provide weekly feedback and input to the Instrumentation Maintenance Specialist to ensure proper planning of scheduled tasks.
    • Communicate all required spares and services to the Instrumentation Maintenance Planner, all communications to be traceable.

    Work execution will entail:

    • Rotables and repairs management

    • Relevant N6 (External candidates)
    • Relevant N4 Studying towards N5 (Internal candidates)
    • Instrumentation Trade Test
    • 3 Years’ relevant experience
    • Computer Literacy, SAP
    • Good knowledge of field instruments
    • Experience on Siemens control systems will be advantageous
    • Experience on Profibus networks will be advantageous
    • Experience on ferrochrome smelter industries will be advantageous
    • Valid driver’s license (person should have a vehicle to perform standby duties)

    • Maintain the filing system for the despatch documentation for audit purposes and load monthly orders on MES

    SAP Process:

    • Do purchase requisitions and service entries for service providers
    • Do reservations for supplies for office and weighbridges

    Administration:

    • Plan weekend overtime and sort out queries with time office
    • Keep record and control PPE issues 

    Reconciliation:

    • Do reconciliation of despatches with Smelters and transporters and sort out queries

    Requirements

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

    • Grade 12/ N3 

    Additional Qualifications:

    • N4 studying towards N5 in Logistics or Related Fields 
    • 3 years’ relevant experience
