    Medical Area Manager Cape Town

    A Day in the Life:

    • Strategic Market Management: Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to develop and execute impactful territory business plans. 
    • Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, and institutional stakeholders to drive product adoption and advocacy.
    • Sales Excellence: Set ambitious targets, track performance metrics, and implement strategies to consistently exceed sales goals within ethical and compliant practices. 
    • Collaboration: Partner effectively with cross-functional teams, including marketing, medical affairs, and market access, to ensure alignment and successful execution of company initiatives. 

    Professional & Technical Competencies: 

    • Possess a fair scientific foundation and a deep understanding of the therapeutic area(s) relevant to our products. 
    • Strategic thinker with a strong grasp of sales forecasting, market analysis, and territory management. 
    • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex scientific information to healthcare professionals. 
    • Driven to achieve and exceed targets, consistently delivering exceptional sales performance. 
    • Enhance the image and increase prescription and recommendation of the brand. 
    • Visit targeted doctors in the sector and present the brand’s products and services to increase prescriptions and develop a global approach to the patient. 
    • Promote the brands’ added value by emphasizing the technical and scientific characteristics of the products and services. 
    • Get to know the environment, the pathologies, the products and the use of communication techniques for promoting the products and services. 
    • Represent the brand/the Division at every contact opportunity with health professionals and ensure they are followed up (congresses, ongoing medical training) 
    • Implement the medical visit strategy - Respect target coverage, visit frequency and product cycles 
    • Organise and optimise visit planning - Master and use monitoring tools for CRM/CLM 
    • Make systematic use of available promotional tools (sales visit aids, brochures, publications) 
    • Ensure that clients receive all related brand communications 
    • Training for relevant partners 
    • Analyse the sector and make proposals for sectorial action plans to improvement 
    • Analyse one’s own results and those of the competition - Implement corrective and improvement action plans Manage administrative and reporting tasks 
    • Meet sales objectives and targets 
    • Manage all sales-related administrations 

    Requirements: 

    • Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline (e.g., biology, chemistry, pharmacy) required; advanced degree (e.g., PharmD, PhD) preferred. 
    • Minimum of 6 years of successful pharmaceutical or medical device sales experience
    • Solid understanding of the healthcare industry, regulatory guidelines and ethical selling practices.

    HR Specialist

    A Day in the Life

    • HR Operations: Support a variety of HR tasks, utilizing your expertise in retail-specific needs, such payroll capturing, systems administration, and addressing unique challenges within a customer-facing environment. Partner with your HRBP in all operational activities within the assigned divisions.
    • Recruitment & Selection: Be at the forefront of attracting and selecting top talent for our retail teams, conducting interviews, and ensuring a smooth onboarding experience that sets new hires up for success within our retail structure.
    • HR Data & Analytics: Analyze HR metrics (KPIs) to identify trends, track performance, and provide data-driven recommendations to enhance the employee experience and support business goals. 
    • Compensation & Benefits: Utilize your knowledge of retail compensation structures to assist with payroll and benefits administration with comp and ben as well as HRBP ensuring accuracy and compliance within a diverse workforce.
    • Employee Relations: Foster a positive and productive work environment by addressing employee concerns, mediating conflicts, representing Loreal at NBCCI and promoting a culture of respect and collaboration within our divisions. Fortify relationships within the divisions from management to store level to ensure all employees are supported and heard. 
    • Policy & Compliance: Stay up-to-date on labor laws and company policies, ensuring compliance within the dynamic retail landscape.

    Professional & Technical Competencies Required:

    • Retail HR Expertise: Proven experience in a generalist HR role within a fast-paced retail environment, understanding the unique needs and challenges of managing a diverse workforce.
    • Passion for People: A genuine enthusiasm for creating a positive employee experience, fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion, and supporting the development of our retail teams.
    • Strong Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport with individuals at all levels within the organization.
    • Problem Solver & Solution-Oriented: Proactive in identifying and addressing challenges, with a focus on finding creative and effective solutions.
    • Adaptable & Resilient: Able to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing retail environment.

    Education & Experience:

    • Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • 2+ years of demonstrable experience as an HR professional within a retail environment.
    • Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment legislation.
    • Proficient in HR systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and data analysis tools.
