    Administrator (Middelburg)

    Qualifications    

    • Grade 12 or equivalent
    • Experience    
    • 1 year demonstrated experience as an Administrator

    Advantageous:

    • Certificate/Diploma in Administration

    Duties    
    System Management

    • Ensuring that access to confidential data is restricted (access control)
    • Must ensure that all systems are maintained (SharePoint, AX etc)
    • Ensuring that all relevant information is loaded on systems as and available when needed
    • Updates all relevant documentation and follow up on the workflow in the system

    Administrative

    • Management and administration of some departmental purchases and payments
    • Processing of leave
    • Boardroom management (bookings and preparation)

    Reception Management

    • Directly responsible for managing the switchboard administration for incoming and external calls
    • General reception duties

    Qualifications    

    • Grade 12 or equivalent
    • Artisan (Trade Test)

    Experience    

    • 3 years demonstrated experience in plant maintenance as an Artisan.
    • 2 years demonstrated maintenance experience in a production / explosives environment

    Advantageous:

    • 1 year demonstrated plant related mechanical experience

    Duties    

    • Attend to all breakdowns
    • Responsible for all daily routine equipment inspections.
    • Responsible for installing and commissioning of small projects.
    • Carry out all planned maintenance schedules for the plant in liaison with all stakeholders.
    • Provide support to production to ensure that all maintenance work is consistent and of a high quality.
    • Reduce plant stoppages, breakdowns.
    • Ensure the highest level of workmanship is maintained when maintaining critical equipment.
    • Attend to all breakdowns and callouts (Standby duties apply)
    • Adhere to safety standards and procedures
    • Maintenance of PLC’s and field instrumentation (Level, pressure, temperature and flow)
    • Occasionally assist with electrical work when necessary.

    Job Competencies    
    Job Knowledge:

    • Extensive knowledge in the maintenance of centrifugal pumps and positive displacement pumps (Progressive cavity, gear pumps) would be an advantage.
    • Electrical ability
    • Trouble shooting (Fault finding)
    • Extensive knowledge in the maintenance of VFD’s general plant switchgear, process machinery including pumps, compressors and boilers.
    • Knowledge of PLC’s and field instrumentation
    • Knowledge of the SANS 10142 electrical regulations
    • Proficiency in MS office
    • Good planning and organizational skills
    • Good analytical skills
    • Attention to detail
    • Knowledge of ERP systems
    • Communication skills written and verbal
    • Safety Conscious
    • Quality Conscious
    • Self-motivated, driven and tenacious
    • Positive attitude, disciplined and a strong work ethic.
    • Must be a dependable person that is able to work unsupervised and independently
    • A wireman’s license would be an advantage
    • Strong technical problem-solving skills
