    Registration Finance Administrator (Fixed -Term Contract)

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Assists in the payments office, accepting and receipting of payments (Card, Zapper, SnapScan). This would cover App Fees, Pre-Reg Fees and Tuition Fees and Ad-Hoc Fee payments (e.g.Supps, etc).
    • When not busy at the cash office, to assist with finance walk-in queries at the reception area.
    • Receipting of App Fees, Pre-Reg Fees and Tuition Fees in SIS. Using Pay U Reports and the daily bank statement as source documentation.
    • Assist with following up on all outstanding documentation relating to Bursary Application.
    • Assist with calling “Request Received – Ready for Finance Approval” students where payment is still outstanding.
    • In SIS, it is mandatory to upload banking details for Account Payers that have selected the 10m payment plan. Temp to assist by validating the banking details uploaded by Account Payer to the details loaded in SIS in the Debit Order section and to record the same in the Debit Order Tracker, stored in Teams 2024 registration SCC to oversee this process and do random checks for any anomalies.
    • Assists walk in students/account payers that need assistance with extract on of the “Bill of Costs” off the Institution website.
    • Populate pro-forma manual invoices, using the Bill of Costs and Fee Calculators as supporting documentation. Pro-Forma invoices are checked and signed off by Head-Finance or Campus Head & emailed to the Account Payer/Sponsor/Student, by either the Head-Finance or Senior Credit Controller.
    • Assists with basic IIE Assist tickets that is forwarded on from the SCC/HF.
    • Ad-hoc duties as and when necessary.

    Fulfilling Telesales Function

    Credit Controller - Midrand

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Collections/Handover 

    • Collections on outstanding accounts as per assigned aging. 
    • Following protocol in line with Standard Operating Procedures when dealing with different aging buckets.
    • Receiving inbound calls/ ensuring outbound quality call quota is reached daily/weekly/monthly.
    • Meeting monthly collection targets and reducing portfolio risk.

    • Prepare documents for adjustments/refunds/transfers/Bursaries/ payment plan changes for approval by Campus Senior Credit Controller/National Senior Credit Controller and action once approved.

    Admissions Specialist - Cape Town

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    New Student Admissions and Compliance

    • Ensuring brands compliance with government regulations and accreditation standards related to student admissions and student records.

    Head of Humanities - Pietermaritzburg

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Academic Leadership, Management & Campus Support

    • Overall leadership and management of the School on campus.
    • Manage the interface with the Head of School.

    • Works with the Senior Admissions Officer to determine the eligibility of the graduation cohort including late graduation.

    • Analysing probable outcomes based on legal precedents
    • Provide legal representation in matters within our jurisdiction
    • Litigating in civil courts, tribunals, and arbitrations

    Management and Administration of Clinics

    • Maintaining the confidentiality of legal documents and client records
    • Updating and managing case load of the IIE VC CLC in the region
    • Update clients, stakeholders and attorneys on clients matters
    • Play an active role in the development of policies and procedures of the Law Clinic
    • Provide legal secretary/intern with instructions

    Supervision and Student Engagement

    • Supervising all law students in his/her care
    • Managing the practical legal component of the Work Integrated Learning (WIL) module
    • Managing the monitoring of and evaluation of student performance
    • Train, supervise and guide candidate legal practitioners
    • Provide individual mentoring for and coaching of legal practitioners and candidate attorneys
    • Monitor and evaluate the quality of work performed by the 4th year IIE LLB students in their WIL module

    Collaboration and Community Engagement

    • Maintaining a professional and harmonious relationship with a wide range of stakeholders in the legal industry including NGO’s, Court personnel, law firms, potential donor funders, Legal Aid and other public interest initiatives.
    • Facilitating Community and Attorney workshops
    • Engaging with the different courts to hold Advice Desks

    Special Requirements 

    • Candidate must be able to organise outreach and other community engagement initiatives on the last Saturday morning of each month.
    • Be able to monitor and assess performance of yourself, other individuals or organisations to make improvement or take corrective action

    Minimum Education Requirements:

    • Completed LLB degree at NQF level 8. LLM at NQF level 9 will be advantageous. 
    • Must be admitted as an attorney of the High Court with 10 years’ experience as an admitted attorney and right of appearance in the High Court.

    Minimum Work Experience: 

    • 10 years post admission experience with 5 years general legal practice and 5 years management experience. 
    • Admitted Attorney on the Practising Roll
    • Previous Magistrates and High Court litigation experience , civil litigation and family law will be advantageous. 
    • Proficiency in additional languages will be an added advantage
