    WECA TR Lead

    Overview

    • The TR Lead is responsible for shaping and leading the reward strategy of the BU to attract, retain, engage, and motivate employees, as well as advising business leaders on the best practices for total reward processes.
    • The position will be fully responsible to lead & contribute to the development of the BU’s unique employer brand and employee value proposition, including implementation and administration of competitive compensation, benefits, and other total rewards strategies and programs that drive growth, attract/retain talent, optimize the workforce, and improve productivity.
    • Evaluate effectiveness of existing compensation and benefit programs, policies, and guidelines to ensure they are market competitive, cost effective, aligned with corporate goals, and comply with policies, legislation, and other government and regulatory requirements.
    • Enable business vision in to deliver growth through expansion plans across all BU markets as well as the targeted acquisitions in new markets

    Responsibilities

    • Provide strategic direction, planning, deep compensation, reward and recognition expertise, guidance, and support to the business to execute the design, implementation, communication, and administration of the BU’s compensation aproach
    • Support M&A processes and steer redesign of reward structures and practices in partnership with different stakeholders, including harmonization of Total Rewards plans and procedures
    • Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of our rewards programs by working in partnership with external vendors and consultants in both compensation and benefits to ensure competitive positioning in all markets, in line with business and talent strategies and stay current on trends/changes across different markets to make recommendations for changes, as appropriate
    • Remain current on local Reward legislation changes and adjust programs as necessary with support from external providers, legal or local HR.
    • Partner with HRBPs in driving organization simplification agenda and operating model changes through leading on Job evaluation and talent movements from TR prespective .
    • Direct the ongoing administration and maintenance of job evaluation, and market analysis in partnership with GBS .
    • Source, design and negotiate local benefit programs eg Medical Aid – make recommendations to the business, based on knowledge of local market and laws and consultation with HRBP and TR COE
    • Support the regional cross border workforce team regarding managing expatriate remuneration
    • Engage in and drive regional TR activities to increase overall efficiency and capability, while supporting PEP Strategy to drive DE&I agenda and pay equity.
    • Partner with sales / commercial leads across multiple divisions in local sales compensation incentive design
    • Drive the annual Merit and Company Incentive programs, including the maintenance of salary ranges
    • Undertake and interpret ad-hoc compensation and benefits analysis and provide pragmatic advice through technical excellence
    • Drive agile ways of working and continuous improvement in TR activities and broader HR practices
    • Deploy robust education and communication program for upskilling employees, managers, and broader HR Teams.

    Qualifications

    Global Procurement Energy Sourcing Specialist - Cape Town HQ

    Responsibilities

    What we’re looking for:

    Work to provide input to CoEs on market requirements, support negotiations of important contracts as well as developments with key suppliers, align BU stakeholders on category decisions, implement Sector & Cluster Procurement aligned mission and strategy, deliver BU procurement annual and long-term strategic targets, lead P&L Savings & Productivity initiatives, ensure supply security and ensure full compliance to GP Policies & Proceudres.

    • Manage (in close collaboration with the SA GP Capex & Make Category Manager) implementation of the SA Cluster wide Procurement vision, mission and strategy.

    Qualifications

    Forklift Driver x2 - Upington Dried Fruit Plant

    Responsibilities

    Despatch Department

    • Ensure truck hygiene is up to standard before loading finished product on truck.
    • Make sure Finished product prepared for shipment is as, per procedure and report immediately if not.
    • Apply FIFO and LIFO at all times.
    • Must understand the importance of traceability and how it fits in on loading and offloading.
    • Loading finished product on trucks for the day.
    • Make sure that the freight loaded is 100% correct in line with the Despatch plan.
    • Offloading of Finished products from trucks.
    • When offloading make sure to take product to designated area.
    • Make sure to pick the correct product that is due for the load.
    • Drive safely.
    • Make sure that EHS standards and regulations are adhered to at all times.
    • Good housekeeping must be maintained at all times.
    • Be part of the Pepsico team to ensure efficiency of the business.

    Additional tasks

    • Ensure that the railway and strapping areas are neat and tidy at all times. Take different finished product back to their different storage locations to ensure good housekeeping. Help offload trucks and provide pallets if need be.

    Senior Manager: Food Safety and Quality Assurance SA & WECA - Isando Plant Snacks

    Responsibilities

    What we’re looking for:

    Lead the regional Food safety and Quality Assurance function in SAWECA (Food and Beverages) by ensuring Food safety and Quality by design for all new innovations, while delivering the right specifications that are fit for purpose and consumer relevant. This role will need to establish comprehensive and sustainable programs that drive capability and quality throughout the supply chain. Complementing the objectives of building quality and food safety into systems and processes, a critical aspect of this role will be to create, implement and monitor necessary quality and food safety metrics to provide needed oversight and governance. Key metric of this role is to ensure on the ground support as and when required to prevent any food safety and quality recalls/withdrawals by providing end to end governance across SAWECA business unit.

    This is leadership role responsible for creating culture of Food Safety & Quality, mentor teams drive compliance and create strategic presence in AMESA

    • Provide FSQA leadership to SAWECA BU Foods & Beverages Category, including leading/partnering with a team to effectively deliver the aligned AOP Agenda and Long-term strategic initiatives.
    • Drive continual improvement to Quality Food Safety KPIs End to End Supply Chain in partnership with QC team.
    • Lead Food safety and Quality standards, including expectations for microbiological performance, allergens, foreign material control, chemical contamination, regulatory compliance, and HACCP programs, Quality metrices including Competitive quality assurance, GFSI audits, AIBI audits and QAS audits.
    • Lead and coordinate FSQA due diligence drive incident management where required across the relevant key stakeholders through effective implementation of the Incident management program using IRIS and other tools as applicable.
    • Effectively support the regional product and package innovation agenda by ensuring standards and process are adhered from design to commercialization through programs TSG linked tools incl. GIB, PCC and FSHA.
    • For complex innovations, provide needed technical support at plant level to ensure start-up readiness and develop quality system and testing protocols/methods which should be applied for new product introductions as well as follow through post launch through in-market programs incl. hyper care.
    • Lead in developing risk-mitigating strategies along with other groups (Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, R&D) to properly manage resources in addressing critical food safety issues. Ensure Food hazard assessments, HTDs of all R&D projects working cooperatively with relevant R&D stakeholders as well as relevant SMEs where required.
    • Provide FSQA leadership drive seamless integration of Mergers & Acquisitions, 3PM qualifications in BU. Collaborate with Supply Chain and R&D from design to deployment of new business avenues in sector.
    • To facilitate continuous FSQA improvements in the region through implementation of QMS and audit programs and ensuring needed corrective actions to non-compliances in quality and food safety audits have been implemented, and that the systems and processes that are in place are being adhered to by SC (QC).
    • Advocate execution of global programs at BU and drive role of FSQA connector to Business Unit and Global functions.
    • Attract, develop, and retain high caliber talent to achieve 'best-in-class' food safety, quality and regulatory systems and assure that the functional services are provided as required for the company's current and expanding needs.
    • Models and acts in accordance with PEP Global Code of Conduct and Global PepsiCo Way guiding principles.

    Qualifications

    What will qualify you for the role:

    • Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Engineering or equivalent (Master’s degree would be a plus).
    • 15-18 years in Quality and Food Safety having supported manufacturing facilities and R&D product developers across food & beverages and across multiple geographies.
    • Understanding on local SAWECA Food Regulations
    • Experience of presenting to and influencing stakeholders on Foods Safety regulations, risk mitigation and solutions
    • Subject matter expert on Quality, food safety, audit regulations, trends, tools, and programs.
    • Experience with wet/dry manufacturing processes and microbiologically sensitive food manufacturing facilities.
    • Extensive knowledge and implementation experience with food safety control programs.

    Senior Manager: Organizational Effectiveness - PepsiCo Park CDC Snacks

    What we're looking for:

    We're looking for an Organisational Effectiveness Senior Manager to join our team. The OE Snr Manager will focus on improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the AMESA Organization today and in the future by supporting the set up and executing the organizational design (75%) and strategic workforce planning (25%) for AMESA BUs. The role will contribute towards the design of and leverage the AMESA Organization Design and Strategic Workforce Planning strategies, approach and tools to support the execution of end-to-end restructuring across various BUs.

    Currently, the focus will be assisting the organization redesign of South Africa involving a workforce of app. 12,000+ associates, spanning across four (4) major transformation projects i.e. PGT implementation, GBS transition, Portfolio disposals, and Network Optimisation.

    Accountabilities

    Organizational Design (75%).

    We are building an organization that’s designed with simplicity, consistency and effectiveness in mind. We’ll transform from managing org design in silos to taking an organizational-wide and systemic approach.

    • Contribute towards the design of the OD playbook for AMESA incl. design principles, organizational archetypes for various business units, small markets and sector functions, and leverage CoE guidance to advise business in terms of span of control, organizational layers, employee-related cost ratio, manager-to-employee ratio etc.
    • Coach leaders and HRBPs to build basic org design capabilities in order to make the right decisions.
    • Continuously maintain relevant internal and external benchmarks (e.g. key competitors) for organizational sizing and structure.
    • Build a deep and broad understanding of the various operating models (e.g. franchise, company-owned operations, JVs, and different GTM models), organizational design, ways of working and decision making.
    • Identify opportunities for simplification, efficiency and effectiveness driven by solid insights, logic, and analysis within specific allocated BU.
    • Support key organizational design projects as well as partner with external consultants reg. org design projects.
    • Support key transformational projects such as GBS, PGT, M&A with org design support.
    • Monitor progress and impact with key metrics and strong project management.

    Strategic Workforce Planning (25%)

    • Identify critical capabilities (e.g. NRM, DX, HCM etc.) for AMESA and help drive focused investments. Influence and facilitate key trade-offs and drive buy-in from the BUs and functional leads.
    • Contribute towards the design of the SWP playbook for AMESA incl. process, strategic framework, governance and how it connects to the core HR processes and the AMESA strategy. Leverage internal and external best practices.
    • Establish a detailed understanding of our current workforce e.g. demographics, skills, aspirations and engagement. Predict opportunities and challenges and recommend actions accordingly.
    • Together with the Sr Director OE, identify and anticipate workforce needs for the future (skills, size, geography) and required workforce shifts, up/re-skilling, scaling up/down, barriers in attracting/retaining the right talent etc. Propose the most effective workforce models e.g. permanent/temporary employed, contingent workforce, outsource etc.
    • Coach and guide the HRBPs and business leaders on the build/buy/borrow strategies for each critical capability and support on execution to ensure impact.
    • Feed the people strategy with key priorities as well as provide the operational brief for talent acquisition (buy) and talent management (build) in terms of the support required.
    • Monitor progress and impact with key metrics and strong project management.

    General

    • Partner closely with HRBPs, AMESA COEs and global COEs.
    • Work closely with the BU CEO, CHRO and CFO, transformation teams, functional leaders, BU GMs, functional capability leaders, and external consultants.
    • Be a key advisor to the BU Leadership Team on strategic organizational topics – with specific focus on operating model, future workforce needs, critical capabilities and the strategic opportunities and challenges for the future.

    Qualifications

    • 8 - 10 years of consulting experience within Human Capital. Having lead multiple engagements in relevant disciplines within Org Design, SWP and people strategy. Ideally experience across industries incl. solid FMCG exposure.
    • Solid experience in driving logical and structured problem-solving techniques, articulating assessments and recommendations clearly. Ability to communicate complex matters with simplicity in writing and verbally.
    • Master’s degree in relevant field
    • Relationship: Effective in engaging stakeholders, influencing, managing conflict, and build buy-in to new concepts that haven’t yet been proven.
    • Strategic orientation, understanding of the latest research and best practices from leading companies, external orientation and an open and curious mind to innovative ideas.
    • Strong analytical skills and solid experience with data analysis.
    • Understanding of the operation of HR, the various disciples and how they all connect.
    • Ideally, the candidate is from the AMESA region and comes with experience from several geographies.
