    Group Communications and Investor Relations Specialist

    Minimum Qualifications

    • A tertiary qualification in a mining related discipline with good exposure to mining economics, mine finance and resource investment is preferable.
    • Strong written communications and digital media skills or qualification in corporate communication field.
    • Ability to be calm and productive when operating under deadline stress.
    • A team player with strong inter-personal skills
    • Being presentable and well-spoken is a strong recommendation.
    • Dedicated, committed and hardworking, willing to work long hours when required to meet reporting/presentation deadlines.

    Minimum Experience

    • Minimum of seven years’ experience in the corporate communications and investor relations field
    • Must have experience in the minerals, exploration and mining environment
    • Experience in communication requirements for listed companies (ASX or SENS)
    • Must be proficient in English and Afrikaans
    • Experience, knowledge and understanding of investment markets and dynamics

    Responsibilities

    • Assists with the development of an investor relations strategy and framework
    • Coordinates communications and investor strategy implementation across the company
    • Provides insights on market activity, including conducting market research and analytics
    • Coordinates logistics associated with investor conferences, meetings and road shows.
    • Investor engagements and support, including responding to investor inquiries.
    • Produces internal and external reports, including quarterly and annual reports with input from technical and financial management team and coordinating third party contribution for document preparation.
    •  Prepares corporate communication documents and messaging, including stock exchange releases
    • Provide support to the CEO in terms of collateral development (e.g. presentations, reports etc)
    • Represents the company with external stakeholders as required.
    • Quality control of all external and internal communication

    Metallurgist

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Metallurgy or related degree equivalent at NQF level 7

    Minimum Experience

    • At least 5 years’ experience within mining metallurgical operations and engineering environment
    • Experience in the design and operations of base metals processing concentrator plants
    • Experience with feasibility studies
    • Plant sampling systems and metallurgical accounting
    • Focus of experience on crushing, ore sorting, milling, froth flotation, thickeners, filtration, metal accounting
    • Advanced computer literacy

    Responsibilities

    • Scope test work programs for feasibility studies
    • Coordinate test work programs at external partner and vendor laboratories.
    • Interact with equipment vendors and EPC firms executing feasibility studies and projects.
    • Complete trade-off studies on process alternatives or equipment to optimise process flow sheets.
    • Assist with the installation and commissioning of processing equipment.
    • Develop and implement metallurgical accounting systems and production reporting for operations
    • Prepare and present technical reports to management and other stakeholders.
    • Project planning, costing and implementation
    • Assist with the development of operational budgets and costing
    • Stakeholder management: liaise with management, operations, projects and external service providers.
    • Performing and commissioning process modifications
    • Technical process optimisation
    • Review and participate in laboratory and/or pilot scale test work for process development.
    • Evaluation of operating procedures
    • Environmental trends analysis
    • Changing technical parameters to minimise the effect of unexpected problems in liaison with line managers
    • Workshop and communicate different solutions to problems with technical staff and management at mining operations
    • Apply statistical methods to solve problems and design experiments.

    Senior Geologist - Prieska

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Minimum BSc. Honours in Geology or equivalent at NQF level 7
    • Appropriate post graduate management qualification an advantage

    Minimum Experience

    • Minimum of seven years’ post graduate mining geology experience, preferably with three years of people management in a Mine Geology Department
    • Three years’ experience in an underground mining environment
    • Experience in stockpile sampling and load-out grade control
    • Experience in underground mapping and sampling
    • Experience in laying out and managing all aspects of grade control drilling and sampling to support mining by long hole, open stope and bulk extraction
    • Experience in sampling, data management and reporting
    • Experience in Mineral Resource estimation and participation in Mineral Reserve estimation and management
    • Strong user of MS office suite
    • Experienced user of geological/mining/ modelling software
    • Strong knowledge of non-ferrous metals related geology

    Responsibilities

    • Managing and coordinating all geology department functions and activities including:
    • Drilling, logging and core sampling,
    • Mapping and sampling of faces, draw points and stockpiles.
    • Assay laboratory management.
    • Wireframing and block modelling of updated sampling and geological data and providing this to the mine planning department for extraction planning
    • Continually manage and improve the Geology department operations including training and mentoring of staff
    • Accurate and timeous delivery of geological information as input into ore resource and reserve estimation for mine planning
    • Formulation and implementation of site-specific systems, procedures and standards for best practice in Mineral Resource/Reserve Management
    • Responsible for metal accounting and Mineral Resource/Reserve reconciliation
    • Ensure appropriate departmental staffing, successful teamwork and management of departmental resources
