    Cabin Crew Instructor

    Description

    • Assist Head of Portfolios it developing new training material;
    • Assist seniors in addressing learning challenges, instruction problems, and new educational needs;
    • Identify opportunities: for improvement to training delivery and trainee experience;
    • Identify training needs in line with organisational requirements;
    • Facilitate training sessions in classroom and virtual formats in line with the training manual and updated training material;
    • Monitor, support and provide trainees with individual feedback to assist their developmental journey;
    • Complete and distribute training documents and records in line with regulations and procedures;
    • Support seniors with the development of training material;
    • Prepare training rooms and ensure that training material is readily available;
    • Stay up to date with relevant regulations, notices, directives, SOPs and policies.

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 or Equivalent (Essential);
    • Current and Valid RSA Cabin Crew Licence;
    • Current SACAA instructor designation in Cabin Crew (Essential);
    • Train the Trainer and Assessor certifications (Essential);
    • Diploma / Training qualification (Desirable);
    • 1000 hours of flying experience as an active Cabin crew Member;
    • Willing to travel;
    • Sound knowledge of MS Excel, MS word and MS Outlook (Essential) Knowledge of SACAA regulations (Essential);
    • Knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures as per the SACAA (Essential) Knowledge of educational and training techniques and methods (Essential);
    • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation);

    Manager: Operations Support

    Description

    • Provide input into the annual budget;
    • Manage costs by engaging suppliers for the most effective rates;
    • Monitor and renegotiate service provider contracts when services are added or removed;
    • Oversee and manage the initial IATA airport slot submissions and schedule alignment;
    • Maintain current navigation platforms and offer input for optimization;
    • Remain up to date with travel policies and cross border destination requirements;
    • Manage compliance on Post Flight Documentation as per the regulations;
    • Manage the procedures related to Jumpseat bookings;
    • Manage Interdepartmental Communications relating to all Schedule, Navigation and 90-day retention documentation requirements;
    • Monitor the continuous improvement and compliance to airport slot;
    • Participate in all briefings concerning contract flying to understand contractual requirements and ensure compliance;
    • Manage and compile fuel projections through the analysis of fuel usage;
    • Oversee and ensure compliance of the Airport Slots including the initial slot submissions per schedule period;
    • Maintain slot management within the current season;
    • Manage all audits relating to 90-day retention documentation requirements;
    • Manage the compliance of work instructions and manuals pertaining to the function;
    • Review manuals and work instructions annually;
    • Provide monthly reports to the Senior Manager;
    • Operations on functional performance indicators;
    • Report statistics to other departments on a monthly basis;
    • Provide monthly reports detailing fuel usage;
    • Oversee the team and report on the team's performance;
    • Provide overall guidance to the team;
    • Set team goals in order to meet the overall business need;
    • Motivate, organise and encourage teamwork within the team to ensure productivity;
    • Identify skill development areas for succession planning purposes;
    • Promote effective communication amongst team members;
    • Oversee and manage complex projects, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and timely completion;
    • Build strong relationships with CAMU, Airport Authority, Regulators, and Service providers to influence decisions that may affect operational continuity.

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 or equivalent;
    • Qualification in Flight Operational Management (Advantageous);
    • Minimum of 10 years aviation experience, of which, 5 years must be management experience;

    Experience in the following areas:

    • Aircraft Performance and Navigation,
    • IATA Slot Management,
    • Fuel Management and Monitoring.
    • Operations Support (90-day retention documents);
    • Experience with IOSA and SACAA audit requirements and engagements;
    • Non-office hours may apply from time to time due to operational requirements;
    • May be required to work weekends or extended hours;

    Thorough knowledge of the following areas:

    • IATA Slots,
    • SACAA regulation on 90 days document retention Aircraft performance and Navigation,
    • Company Travel,
    • Management.
    • Knowledge of IOSA/SACAA audit requirements and engagements;
    • Computer Literacy.

    Certified Aviation Technician (Sheet Metal)

    Description

    Required to perform various Heavy Maintenance duties including, but not limited to:

    • Heavy Maintenance;
    • Analyse and interpret aircraft blueprints, specifications, and maintenance manuals to perform repairs;
    • Prepare surfaces and apply protective coatings to a variety of materials used on the aircraft;
    • Fabricate parts as needed;
    • Conduct maintenance;
    • Order supplies, equipment, materials, and parts for repairs and routine maintenance;
    • Safely operate various tools used for sheet metal applications;
    • Install, repair, inspect, and replace sheet metal components on aircraft, including structural assemblies.

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 or Equivalent;
    • Trade test Certificate (Essential);
    • Licensed AME with a SACAA B rating (Essential);
    • Minimum of 10 years aviation experience (Essential);
    • Previous experience working on B737 — 400 and -800 (Essential);
    • Valid South African passport holder;
    • Must be willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays, and overtime as and when required;
    • Must be available and willing to travel at short notice, both locally and internationally;
    • Must have own Transport;
    • Understanding of basic mathematics;
    • Proficient in the use of microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook, PowerPoint).
