    Audit Senior - Durban

    Purpose

    • To ensure successful completion of assigned audit engagements, whilst directing daily activities of trainee accountants on those engagements, reporting to Audit Managers and/or Partners.

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Provide junior staff with clear direction, goals and objectives
    • Delegate work appropriately and fairly to trainee accountants
    • Set appropriate standards and create a positive work climate
    • Provide coaching and/or training to improve performance
    • Perform audit fieldwork
    • Produce reports that are clear, concise and error free
    • Applies technical expertise and analyse data affectively
    • Finalise and propose audit opinion
    • Complete timesheets
    • Maintain effective client relations
    • Manages own and other’s time effectively
    • Monitors progress and performance against deadlines and milestones

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Qualified CA (SA) (preference)
    • Successful completion of audit traineeship (articles)
    • Proficient in application of IFRS, IFRS for SME’s and ISA as well as Mazars Audit Methodology
    • Proficiency in Caseware and Microsoft products
    • Ability to complete an entire audit file and to delegate and follow-up on tasks
    • Excellent writing, reporting, planning and organising skills
    • Perform mentoring and supervisory role to staff on specific audits
    • Able to maintain a proper working relationships with team members
    • Demonstrate integrity at all times
    • Proactive – being able to plan projects and activities well in advance
    • Able to work productively in high pressure environment

    Accounting client advisor / Accounting senior - Remote (Bloemfontein)

    Job Description    

    • Mazars International Services is recruiting for Accounting Client Advisors / Accounting Seniors to join the Accounting and Outsourced Services team. This high performing division of Mazars is focused on fast tracking growth in our primary markets by integrating local talent with our international teams. The successful candidate will report to the HOD / Manager.

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Process and reconcile monthly/bi-monthly client transactions from source documents and producing management accounts.
    • Liaise with external and internal clients, financial institutions and any other relevant parties
    • Perform general office administration duties
    • Resolve review queries from Supervisor/Manager/Partner

    Accountant - Century City

    The purpose of the Job:

    • To perform independent reviews, to produce annual financial statements and to complete the accounting function up to trial balance level for a variety of client portfolios.

    Duties and Responsibilities  

    •  Gather client information
    • Prepare annual working paper files
    • Compile annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS for SME’s
    • Perform independent reviews in accordance with ISRE2400 (essential)
    • Process and reconcile monthly/bi-monthly client transactions and produce management accounts as required
    • Produce and submit client statutory returns (VAT) and resolve SARS queries
    • Resolve review queries from Supervisor/Manager/Partner and do final entries as per Partner’s finalisation
    • Manage individual productivity

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Recognised Accounting qualification (Bachelor’s degree)
    • At least 3 years of experience in an accounting / auditing environment in a similar role (specifically experience in performing independent reviews and compilation of annual financial statements)
    • Completed SAIPA/SAICA articles and professional membership is preferred (not essential)
    • Excellent Computer skills (MS Office, Excel, Outlook, Sage / Xero and Caseware)
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Excellent time management skills
    • Quality and detail oriented
    • Excellent customer focus
    • Planning and organising skills
    • Driver’s licence (preferred not essential)

    Junior Service Desk Specialist - Johannesburg

    Job Description    
    Mazars Gauteng is currently recruiting for a Junior Service Desk Specialist who will be responsible for providing technical and troubleshooting assistance related to computer hardware and software, mobile devices and other tools and products used by Mazars. 

    Duties and Responsibilities    
    Desktop Support:

    • Attending to service requests logged for by end-users
    • Provide feedback on open tickets via the Service Desk

    Account Management:

    • Manage user accounts in Active Directory
    • Provisioning of Exchange Online mailboxes
    • Assignment of Office 365 licences

    First Line Support:

    • Windows 10 Operating Systems
    • Office 2013 and Office 365
    • Printing support
    • Telephony support
    • Wi-Fi Support
    • Mobile device support (iOS & Android)
    • Setup video conferences

    Hardware Support:

    • Setting up and configuration of new and replacement laptops
    • Keep asset register updated
    • Liaise with vendors to resolve hardware faults
    • Workstation moves when required

    Minimum Requirements    
    Required Skills and Experience:

    • Minimum of At least 1 years’ experience in a Service Desk environment including Desktop and Remote Support
    • Working knowledge of Windows, iOS & Android platforms
    • Ability to communicate effectively with users
    • Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
    • Focus on providing high levels of customer service
    • Maintain professionalism when dealing with customers in person, telephonically or via instant messaging

    Minimum Qualifications/certifications:

    • Grade 12 qualification
    • A+ Certified
