    Cost Accountant - Centurion

    Description

    • Provide support to the Financial Manager to ensure that all the accounting transactions are completed in accordance with appliable policy and legislative requirements.

    Requirements

    REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/TRAINING

    • B Com Degree
    • SAICA articles (completed/signed off within the last two years)

    REQUIRED MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE

    • 1-year post articles accounting experience

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

    • Analysis of purchase and sale transactions, including all ancillary items.
    • Provide management with feedback on the results of the analysis
    • Identification and reporting of risks/shortfalls
    • Confirm the accuracy of month-end calculations and reconciliations.
    • Ensure compliance with group policies, applicable regulations, VAT and tax legislation, and assist internal and external auditors when required.

    Description

    • Responsible for effective maintenance of the administrative functions of the branch.

    Requirements

    REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/TRAINING    

    • Grade 12

    • Regularly communicate with suppliers on all outstanding invoices, credit notes or discrepancies of stock.
    • Ensure that codes, prices and stock correspond with orders and stock received.
    • Ensure that cash-ups are done daily.
    • Ensure that cash surpluses and shortages are paid in as per policy.
    • Report daily cash up (balances & discrepancies) to Regional Banking Clerk.
