    Manager, VAF Credit Compliance

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    • This role is responsible to support the VAF Credit Design and Enablement Team in ensuring effective capabilities are developed and implemented to support the end-to-end VAF Credit value chain in achieving their portfolio objectives as well as ensuring all Non-Financial Risk (NFR) requirements are met. The Manager: VAF Credit Compliance’s primary responsibility will be on ensuring adherence to Compliance and NFR requirements. 

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Completed Matric
    • Any relevant bachelors degree (BSc, BCom, BEng etc)

    Experience 

    • ± 2 years banking experience.
    • Must have an excellent track record of cross-function project delivery
    • Track record of project analysis, requirements generation, and timely delivery
    • In depth knowledge of the credit lifecycle preferable (Origination, Account Management, Strategy & Analytics, MI, Collections & Recoveries)
    • Must have a good track record of developing and maintaining successful business relationships.

    Front End Developer

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    To develop new user-facing features, determine the structure and design of web pages, build reusable codes, optimise page loading times, and use a variety of markup languages to create the web pages. To translate the company, Business and Commercial Banking (BCB) and customer needs into functional and appealing interactive applications. To use markup languages like HTML to create user-friendly web pages in order to enhance the client experience across all Africa Regions countries. Combine technology and design to create inviting, easy-to-use websites for consumers.

    • Maintain and improve the website for the Business and Commercial Banking (BCB) Segment.
    • Optimise applications for maximum speed to ensure an enhanced client experience.
    • Design mobile-based features as it pertains to the Credit Payment System.
    • Collaborate with back-end developers and web designers to improve usability.
    • Get feedback from, and build solutions for, users and customers in order to continuously improve the front end development and user interface.
    • Translate the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application.
    • Write functional requirement documents and guides.
    • Create quality mockups and prototypes.
    • Help back-end developers with coding and troubleshooting.

    Manager, Finance Melville Douglas Investments

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    • To provide insights into the establishment and the attainment of the financial objectives of the Business Unit (acting as a Finance Business Partner). Responsible for the full financial function including year-end legal entity requirements, which includes annual financial statement preparation, company tax and monthly financial reporting and month-end processes. Lead the entity's finance team to ensure month end is delivered and all deliverables are met throughout the year. Ensure a clean and healthy financial bill of health for the legal Entity by reviewing and signing off balance sheet recons on monthly basis. Report into the Senior Finance Manager on all activities and processes. Interact with internal and external auditors where necessary. In addition, attend to all regulatory requirements for the legal Entity with regards to the FSCA, SARB and SARS in collaboration with the business. This role requires significant stakeholder engagement and relationship building with business partners.

    Senior Manager ,Credit Evaluation -Business and Commercial Banking Centralised Lending Credit Africa Regions

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    • Ensure an efficient support service to Business partners and other role players on all credit evaluation activities in the Commercial and Personal segments (High Net Worth) for Africa Regions, thereby ensuring that risk is minimised whilst service levels are maintained. Assessment of all credit applications and/or Credit Committee papers and related source documents to ensure that SBSA risk is contained within acceptable risk parameters relative to the profitability of the deal and the Risk Grade of all credit risk counterparties.  Approve Credit Applications within Delegated Level of Authority. Prepare workups and recommendations to Higher Authority including relevant Credit Committees. Participates in meetings, discussions and conference calls on BCB Credit related matters (e.g. Deal Forum, ROACC, Govco, Country BAC or CRMC, MANCO, Watchlist, BCB Credit Portfolio and Watchlist Review). Visit country teams and/or client as and when deemed appropriate by the HCL or HC ROA.

    Senior Manager Regional Credit Portfolio Management, Analytics and Risk Appetite

    • To provide the overall strategic leadership, direction and Portfolio management framework as a key enabler to achieving the business objectives of each Africa Region and each individual country. Optimisation of the credit portfolios and credit life cycle strategies in support of the portfolio’s growth objectives and profitability goals.  To drive and apply portfolio reporting, insights and specific analytics to understand the overall impact of various strategies in new business, account management and collections on the overall risk profile and performance of the portfolio.To forecast and manage overall impairment impacts for each country and aggregate at a Regional level.  To drive the deployment of the Credit Risk Appetite Setting and Monitoring Process in each of the countries and to aggregate for at a Regional level.Provide a consolidated Risk Appetite Limits for the Region.  To interface with country credit teams, client solutions & enablement teams to positively impact the credit outcomes in each country.To guide allocated portfolio of countries on best practise and upskill teams on Portfolio Management, Risk Appetite Activities and Credit Reporting.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • First Degree in Risk Management or Finance and Accounting.
    • Honours Degree Business Commerce preferred
    • Professional qualifications and/or significant experience in finance as well as certifications such as CFA, FRM, Risk Management, CIMA, CA.

    Experience Required

    • 5-7 years: Credit Risk- Practical knowledge of risk and control frameworks and application in financial services industry. Be fully conversant in risk appetite, risk response and process improvement concepts. Understand Credit Risk, Basel 3 and Economic Capital Management
    • 5-7 years: Experience in credit analytics within a banking environment with specific focus on the credit lifecycle.

    We're looking for 3 incumbents to support each of these Africa Regions (Southern, East & West).
