POSITION SYNOPSIS:

• The purpose of the role is the effective stock receiving binning, issuing, deliveries, stock counts and control.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Serious contenders will either have a Grade 12 with a Certificate in Logistics/Warehouse/Supply and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in Logistics/Warehouse/Supply Chain;
• Valid Code B (08) Driver’s License is essential;
• Computer literacy in MS Suite (Excel/Word) is essential;
• Forklift License & HDV license is advantageous;
• Experience working on SAP is advantageous.

 
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Physical receipt, validating against purchase order and inspection of goods received at the warehouse and binning these items;
• Posts the goods issue, runs the pick list if required, and consolidates at the dispatch area if delivery is required;
• Prepares goods for dispatch and delivers to the delivery points;
• Counts inventory items to balance system stocks against the stock at the physical location;
• Reviews the Returns Document to determine the type of return and maintains follow on delivery or transport order documents as required to complete the logistics process;
• Expedites the upliftment of bought out items;
• Good Housekeeping, keeps the warehouse, yards and equipment clean and neat;
• Responsible for Safe goods handling, operation of equipment and hazardous chemicals.

POSITION SYNOPSIS:

• Provide support to the External Affairs Department at Hillside Aluminium. The role will support the Communication and Community function leads.  The role administrates all strategic requirements to support internal operational objectives, promote a positive reputation with local, district and provincial stakeholders and demonstrate South32’s commitment to fulfilling its stated purpose.

 
REQUIREMENTS:

• Serious contenders will either have a Degree/BTECH/National Diploma in Communications / Social Sciences, Public Relations, Community Work, Business or related fields;
• Good writing and analytical skills and good verbal and online communications skills;
• Ability to engage with diverse internal and external stakeholders and able to build strong and trusted relationships;
• Attention to detail and the ability to work within a high performing team is essential;
• Knowledge of community processes, communication concepts and platforms;
• Good administrative and organizational skills.

• Provide support services to the External Affairs function as directed;
• Support the Team in delivering its objectives and plans;
• Provide administrative and organizational support to the External Affairs Team and other Hillside stakeholders as required;
• Contribute to the Team’s efforts in implementing the External Affairs strategy.
