    Sr Systems Engineer

    About the Role

    This position exists to provide direct input to project plans, schedules, and methodology in the operation and maintenance of multiple system environments. Candidate responds to system management alerts to handle system/operations exceptions, within the assigned enterprise systems of product offerings. This position is also responsible for triage change management support.

    Responsibilities

    • Diagnose system performance problems using available standard performance tools and system indicators such as queue lengths, CPU utilization, etc.
    • Install program products and system components
    • Demonstrate thorough understanding of all system components and of program products assigned to support.
    • Work closely with development groups, support groups, and vendors to coordinate special operations, and communicate/escalate problems as appropriate to meet assigned deadlines.
    • Assist in daily support of the systems/products assigned, through early detection and pursuit or changes in system responses or operation.
    • Work closely with support groups to refine system monitoring and reporting, and to assist them in their analysis and problem recovery.
    • Demonstrate thorough understanding of major system components in completing assigned tasks (i.e., storage systems and Windows infrastructure).
    • Assist in daily support of the systems/products assigned, through early detection and pursuit or changes in system responses or operation.
    • Demonstrate knowledge of system components in completing assigned tasks (i.e., storage systems, and Windows/Virtual infrastructure).
    • Develop lists/scripts for execution of commonly used processes and automation of simple tasks.
    • Proper management and implementation of team changes and service requests.
    • Proper creation, execution, documentation, and closure of tasks, changes, and requests.

    Requirements

    • 5+ years of Systems Engineering experience
    •  BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required
    • Experience of Windows infrastructure.
    • Experience in VMware Management.
    • Window OS installation and troubleshooting.
    • Experience in virtual server environments.
    • Experience in scripts automation.
    • Understanding of Cloud implementation

    Sales Head: SADC

    About the Role

    As Sales Head you will be accountable for the delivery of budget and revenue forecasts for the Africa division. You'll be responsible for the development and implementation of overall strategy agreed on by EXCO. You will ensure the sustainability of revenue growth of our product offerings throughout LexisNexis SADC permitted African territories.

    Responsibilities

    • Developing revenue contingency plans to account for unforeseen variances in forecasts and ensure delivery of targets.
