Pretoria, is a beautiful city in the province of Guateng, which also doubles as the administrative capital of South Africa. It is also famous for its well-planned nature with the streets lined with jacaranda trees. For this reason, it is often called The Jacaranda City. Standing tall at the foot of the Union Buildings in Pretoria is a nine-meter-tall bronze statue of Nelson Mandela, the Father of the Nation. The sculpture is done with his arms wide open as a sign of the Spirit of Reconciliation pose.
