Youth Support Worker at La Lucia Healthcare

YOUTH SUPPORT WORKER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Familiarizing yourself with youth-related difficulties, particularly within vulnerable cohorts.
• Crafting and rolling out targeted, sustainable campaigns to minimize inequities.
• Promoting reunification in appropriate instances.
• Fostering social cohesion to promote well-being.
• Gathering and distributing helpful supplies.
• Assisting unemployed youth to acquire gainful, meaningful work.
• Issuing referrals to accessible regional centers.
• Remaining accessible and steadfast as a Mentor.

YOUTH SUPPORT WORKER REQUIREMENTS:

• Matric Certificate.
• Possession of applicable job-related qualifications.
• Previous experience as a youth support worker or any similar role is an advantage.
• Extensive and diverse experience as a volunteer is highly recommended.
• Owning a driver's license is strongly suggested.
• Fluency in prevailing regional languages is preferred.
• Knowledgeable about the most threatening social determinants of vulnerability.
• A meticulously organized and culturally sensitive approach in solving issues.
• Addressing prominent social inequities with a sense of urgency.
