Description

Assists a qualified artisan in the maintenance of all machinery and equipment.

Requirements

REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/TRAINING

• Grade 12

REQUIRED MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE

• 1-year workshop maintenance experience within a feed factory environment

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Assist with all maintenance and of Trucks, horses, tankers, forklifts and tractors.
• Provide recommendations, for the replacement or repair of machinery parts and equipment.
• Follow safe working procedures and wear applicable PPE as issued by the employer
• Report unsafe actions and conditions
• Observe equipment for wear and tear and faults and report on defective equipment
• Adhere to all safety regulation policies, procedures and notices
• Ensure that the work area is neat and tidy at all times and clean tools and, when not in use, store away neatly in allocated space
