• Manage the processing of main plant effluent water.

Requirements

REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/TRAINING

• Grade 12

REQUIRED MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE

• 1-year working experience in plant operations/ water treatment environment.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Ensure accurate completion of the waste water treatment plant production sheet.
• Manage water flow levels to balancing and selector tanks
• Monitoring the following processes:
  • Phase 1 solids pre-treatment
  • Aeration in DAF units
  • Polymer makeup units
  • Flocculant inclusion in DAF and sludge screen units
  • DAF sludge transfer to storage tank
• Ensure efficient operation of the dewatering screen
• Identify and remove blockages in process lines
• Report breakdowns and oil spillages when they occur.
• Manage the reworks process.
• Perform visual inspections on incoming waste water before treatment
• Control and manage the Process parameters
• Perform process inspections of waste water after DAF 1 and waste water after DAF 2
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
• Clean equipment including the forklift and oil spillages
• Manage environmental areas OCPs, CCPs and CPs
