UI Developer at TWK Agri

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled UI Developer to join our software development team. The UI Developer will work in an agile, collaborative environment to understand requirements, design, code and test innovative applications and support those applications. The UI Developer will also employ TWK's design thinking to create products that provide a great user experience along with high performance, security, quality and stability. At the nexus of engineering and design, the UI developer will be instrumental in bringing industry-defining software products, cloud services and web applications to users in TWK.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Conduct testing of completed applications, websites and software to assess user experience
• Build storyboards to conceptualize designs and convey project plans to clients and management
• Seek to enhance the user experience by creating seamless navigation through various digital programs and interfaces within the company
• Use coding to develop the aesthetics implemented within a website or product, from the layout menus and drop-down options to colours and fonts
• Combine interface design concepts with digital design and establish milestones to encourage cooperation and teamwork
• Develop overall concepts for improving the user experience within a business webpage or product, ensuring all interactions are intuitive and convenient for customers
• Collaborate with back-end web developers and programmers to improve usability
• Have passion and experience for building responsive, elegant and engaging experiences with future-friendly web technologies
• Work closely with BA's to take wireframes from conception to implementation and design and improve user interfaces
• Work with the LANSA Design System to implement UI's
• Skilled in UI Development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JSON and API usage
• Have an interest in, understanding of or experience with Design Thinking Methodology
• Have an interest in, understanding of or experience with Agile development Methodology

Qualifications and Skills

• Matric / Grade 12
• 3-5 years demonstrated experience in creating and implementing UI development
• Experience in working with HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, Angular JS, JavaScript and Object-Orientates JavaScript (OOJS)
• Detailed experience with coding and the ability to troubleshoot and analyze websites using HTML, CSS and comparable languages
• Continued education and research into UI development trends and current design strategy and technology
• Professional written and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple milestones and projects efficiently
• Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to optimize code for the best possible outcome
• Experience creating code to client's personalized needs and requirements
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment to create top-performing interfaces
• Highly motivated individual
