Overview

To provide specialist equipment fault-finding, problem solving and KPI management of equipment reliability. All activities, roles and responsibilities are aligned to the world class (manufacturing) philosophy, principles and practices.

Qualifications

• NQF 6 Certificate in Engineering / B.Tech in Engineering
• Red Seal Trade Certificate: Fitter/Fitter and Turner

Experience

• 5-10 Years Experience in a Maintenance Environment as a Technician
• Asset Care Experience

Duties

• OHS Act Compliance:
• Ensure Statutory compliance
• Responsible for MTTR & MTBF analysis:
• Identify problematic equipment
• Determine AM & PPM focus areas
• Review Work Order & Schedule Compliance
• Review Resource Utilisation
• Review critical, PPM & AM spares lists
• Review and analyse 5-Why analysis
• Advance problem solving and collaboration with Reliability Engineer
• Paricipate in root cause analysis investigation
• Execution of reliability improvement projects
• Budget Control / Cost Management:
• Approve purchase orders within certain cost limit
• Obtain quotations from external service providers
