Support Specialist: Device Monitoring at Capitec Bank

Purpose Statement

To contribute towards ensuring uptime of cash devices through:

• Monitoring and maintaining cash device software and mechanical systems.
• Providing customised specialist and technical support to relevant business units and departments in full adherence to agreed SLAs and policy and procedure framework.

Experience
MINIMUM:

• 2 - 3 years’ experience in a technical / hardware repair environment (integration of hardware and software) 

IDEAL:

• 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar environment (banking with cash devices)
• Capitec Bank systems and processes

Qualifications (Minimum)

• Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational

Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology or Information Technology - Technical Support

Knowledge
MINIMUM:

• Technical knowledge relating to hardware and software.
• Technical trouble shooting methods and processes.

IDEAL:

• Mechanical knowledge.
• Cash devices and monitoring processes.
• Hardware of cash devices plus back-end systems.
• Technical understanding of cash devices.
• Data analytics, and reporting.
• Contact centre processes and procedures.
