    Specialist: Application Operations

    Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    • Technical applications operation support and management for a range of critical systems including Oracle Siebel CRM, Credit Vetting (DV360), Warehouse Management Systems (Matflo and Freight Intelligence), OEDQ, DDE and RPA.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues related to software applications.
    • Collaborate with development teams to escalate and resolve advanced technical issues.
    • Cyber Security (Vulnerability Patching, Security zoning, Penetration testing, System Password Maintenance, address Obsolescence and SPDA).
    • Conduct post deployment testing and validation to ensure application stability and performance.
    • Create and update technical documentation, manuals (SOPs, Steering document, Service catalogues).
    • Promote code to production.
    • Manage relationships with vendors and third-party service providers to ensure timely resolution of issues and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
    • Environment management (Capacity Planning, BCM, Technical recovery plan and Failover testing).
    • Configure products, dealers, SR Triplets.
    • Provide technical support to customers and internal teams on CSS Siebel; DDE; DV360 and Warehouse Management Systems)
    • Working Knowledge on the following business areas: 
    • Retail, Credit and Risk, Billing, Warehouse, Sales Order Processing, Retentions, Product and Services Technical Knowledge for the following systems: CRM, Credit Vetting, Warehouse Management System, Sales Order Processing and Content Management.
       

    The Ideal Candidate for this role will have:

    Must have technical / professional qualifications and experience: 

    • Matric/Grade 12 essential.
    • 3 year Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field 
    • 5+ years of experience in IS systems support

    Core competencies, knowledge, and experience:

    • Technical Aptitude: Strong understanding of software applications, their architecture, and how they operate with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues 
    • efficiently. 
    • Problem-Solving Skills: Analytical mindset to diagnose issues and identify root causes. 
    • Customer Focus: Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with end-users with patience and empathy when handling user issues. 
    • Previous experience in CRM and Credit Vetting application support is recommended in Telco.
    • Skills proficiency in ITIL service management practices, SQL, Java, and knowledge of web services will be advantageous.
    • Agile tooling: Jira, Confluence.
    • Experience Informix, DB2, Oracle, Linux, Unix will be advantageous.
