    Site Account Manager

    • We are seeking a Site Account Manager to join our Sales Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining active long-term relationship with key decision makers at customer site level and continuously promote Metso’s value adding offering. Create a healthy business with high customer satisfaction with the allocated site accounts.

    In this position, you will report to the Senior Sales Manager – North East.

    This position is mainly located in Phalaborwa, Limpopo.

    TEAM YOU BELONG TO

    You will join the Sales Team and work closely with internal // external stakeholders, such as Mining Customers, Product Support Teams, Commercial Teams, Field Services Teams, Sales Teams and Management.

    WHAT YOU WILL DO

    • Responsible to deliver profitable business growth from allocated sites
    • Responsibility to create the relationship with the key people at the site and share those with the organization, connecting key interfaces 
    • Understand customer business and is capable to argue Metso’s added value 
    • Develop and maintain internal and external relationships in own area of responsibility and work across teams to contribute to the overall growth objectives of the business 
    • Plans and has full visibility to the activities of any Metso function at the site
    • Seeks and coordinates for best resources and channels to be used for customer facing activities 
    • Drives site sales activities together with cross organizational site account team and understands customer’s capex and opex related decisions and buying timetable 
    • Drives account planning and implementation (strategy, relationship, site level budgeting, activity plan, sales roadmap and plan) 
    • Maintains and shares information of installed base, performance and shutdown schedules and plan 
    • Orchestrates customer satisfaction surveys and closed loop activities and ensures continuous improvement activities 
    • Supports Accounts Receivable
    • Active member of the MA Key Account/Global Key Account team

    WHO YOU ARE

    • Matric (Grade 12)
    • National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgy or equivalent
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Sales or Account Management
    • Sales experience in similar industry will be advantageous
    • Process plant experience will be beneficial
    • Strong relationship building skills as well as communication and presentation skills
    • An existing customer network will be beneficial
    • Good technical and sales background of various mineral processing equipment
    • Experience working in a customer-focused and fast-paced professional environment
    • Strong negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust
    • A high level of computer skills is essential - Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

    WHAT SKILLS, COMPETENCIES AND REQUIREMENTS (HARD AND SOFT) ARE ESSENTIAL FOR THIS ROLE?

    • Customer-centric mindset, able to translate customer issues/needs into profitable business solutions
    • Good interpersonal, communication, presentation & facilitation skills
    • Highly motivated individual with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
    • Manage the sales opportunities and sales funnel in a Customer Relationship Management Tool (e.g. Salesforce, etc.)
    • High attention to detail and accuracy
    • Strong written and verbal communications skills are critical
    • Prepared to work flexible work hours to meet deadlines when required
    • Travel extensively to allocated sites
    • Willingness to learn and continually improve own knowledge base
    • Driven and independent self-starter focused on meeting or exceeding targets set
    • Ability to manage own time
