Service Delivery Backup Engineer at Pollock & Associates

Job Description

• This role reports to the Service Delivery Manager and offers a unique opportunity to monitor the Veritas Backup Infrastructure daily and manage Veritas Backup Clients.
• You will have a minimum NQF 4 (Matric) qualification and a Veritas Administrator certification.
• You should also possess 2-5 years of Veritas Backup experience and relevant skills, including A+ / N+ or CompTIA IT fundamentals, vendor certification, and proficiency in MS Office.
• Responsibilities include daily backup status checks, managing backup failures, liaising with customers and senior engineers, and compiling regular reports.
• The perfect fit for this role will have excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently and under pressure, and a strong attention to detail.
• A valid Code 8 driver’s license, reliable transport, and a stable home internet connection are essential.
