Senior UX Researcher (Contract Position) at IQbusiness

Job Description:

• We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Senior UX Researcher for a contract position, with 4-5 years of experience in UX research. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering actionable insights that drive product and service improvements. This position requires an on-site presence initially, available immediately.
• Plan, conduct and analyse comprehensive both qualitative and quantitative user research studies, including ethnographic research, usability testing, surveys, heuristic evaluations and interviews.
• Analyse qualitative and quantitative data to uncover user insights, patterns, and behaviours. Translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and developers, to integrate research findings into the product development process.
• Champion the needs and perspectives of users throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring their voice is heard and prioritized.
• Develop and refine research methodologies to ensure robust and reliable data collection and analysis.
• Create detailed reports and presentations to communicate research findings and insights to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Stay updated on the latest UX research trends, tools, and methodologies, and continuously seek ways to improve our research practices.

Requirements:

• 4-5 years of experience in UX research, preferably within the IT consulting or technology sector.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma required.
• Diploma or degree in a relevant field

 Preferred Skills:

• Proficiency in a variety of UX research methods and tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of user-centered design principles and practices.
• Familiarity with design and prototyping tools (e.g., Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD) is a plus.
• Experience with tools commonly used in the banking sector in South Africa, such as Morae, Optimal Workshop, and UserTesting
