• The role of Senior Technical Operations Manager: Network Engineering is responsible for managing a team of Network Engineers. This role has the overall responsibility of ensuring the effective build and maintenance and day-to-day operation of the organisation’s network.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead, empower, and mentor a team of engineers by providing them with context and continuous feedback
• Subject matter expert of the technical design and interdependencies on operational teams to operate the entire network.
• Responsible for the network solution and operations provided to NTT Ltd.
• Provide guidance to the team ensuring they understand and can execute all network engineering responsibilities in accordance with Company policies and procedures
• Define and monitor achievement of team KPIs to meet business objectives
• Works with the architectural teams to assess new requirements.
• Work in conjunction with operations, vendors and service teams to address any operational challenges.
• Overall technical lead as part of any major incidents, through to problem management and root cause analysis
• Oversee the maintenance and administration of the network and related computing environment
• Oversee the monitoring of network activity and configuration of network systems using complex computer software
• Ensure the effective performance of disaster recovery operations and data backups when required
• Oversee the protection of data, software, and hardware by ensuring the coordination, planning, and implementation of network security measures
• Oversee the troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving of hardware, software, and other network problems
• Ensure the replacement of faulty network hardware components when required
• Oversee the monitoring of network performance to determine if adjustments need to be made
• Oversee the design, configuration, and testing of networking software and hardware
• Ensure the coordination of access to the used network devices

Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes:

• Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware
• Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions
• Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot hardware and software network infrastructure devices including virtual network appliances, azure network infrastructure, wireless access points, firewalls, routers, switches, controllers
• Knowledge of application and network infrastructure protocols
• Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Forward thinker with the ability to lead and manage a team of Network Engineers
• Experience working in a multi-team environment across multiple geographies and time zones
• Ability to engage with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
• Thorough knowledge of network administration and expertise to solve complex issues

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field of study with a network engineering focus
• Relevant ITIL certification(s)
• Relevant technical certification(s) such as CCIE (Cisco), CCNP (Cisco), ZIA/ZPA Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert etc.

Required Experience:

• Demonstrated experience supporting and maintaining a networking environment
• Demonstrated experience with network security
• Demonstrated experience in wireless equipment, protocols, standards, and wireless LAN design
• Demonstrated experience leading and managing a team of Network Engineers
