• The various Operations directorates in the HSRC, of which Information Technology Support Services (IT) forms part of, provide the software and application support platform for achieving the organization’s overall goals. The HSRC seeks to appoint a Senior System Developer on a permanent contract, to be based at the Pretoria office.

Minimum Requirements    

• A relevant IT / Programming diploma or degree
• Min 5 years C# .net development experience
• HTML, CSS, and JavaScript Development
• Experience with developing MSSQL scripts, views, and stored procedures
• Min 5 years of SharePoint development
• Exposure to both front-end and backend
• Experience with developing Web services
• Exposure to agile methodology development environment

Duties & Responsibilities    

• Develop and creates front-end and back-end software applications using SharePoint, Power Apps, C#, ASP.NET, HTML, WCF and SQL.
• Translate company and customer needs into functional and appealing interactive applications.
• Leads technical research and analysis required by Product Owners, Development Managers, and other stakeholders during this phase of development
• Technical quality assurance through quality coding standards and automation testing
• Modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt it to new hardware systems or to upgrade interfaces and improve performance.
• Lead the design, development, and implementation of mission-critical applications using the SharePoint Products and Technologies, .NET Framework and SQL technology stack
• Coding and determining the technical requirements of clients.
• Implement development best practices
• Responsible for the creation and maintenance of reports, dashboards, workflows, approvals, and alerts.
• Solving code problems
• Write APIs to integrate a number of different systems
• Preparing user manuals and providing end-user training
