Come join a team that builds and manages services that are core to the life-cycle of EC2 instances. We build and evolve software which operates at scale to support mission-critical cloud-based applications built by AWS customers. We're looking for people who like solving challenging problems of scale and availability, with a demonstrated capacity for technical leadership, while meeting business goals.
You'll get to build services that are critical to the operation of EC2 and ensuring that customers have the highest quality experience. The position is fully focused on micro services which expose APIs, making effective use of modern programming languages to achieve optimal results.

On-Call Responsibility
Our teams subscribe to a DevOP’s model and are responsible for all aspects of the services that are in production serving customer needs. Knowing that there is much to learn, the expectation for a new team member is to join the oncall rotation as soon as they feel comfortable operating the services that the team is responsible for. The new team member will shadow more experienced engineers to gain confidence and know-how during the initial ramp. Knowing the impact of an operational event both to our customers but also for the team, we work hard to put measures in place to prevent and avoid these events.
