    Senior Manager - Revenue Management Group Digital

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    • The SM: Revenue Management will be responsible for understanding customer behaviours to enable upsell and cross-sell opportunities (strong links with the Consumer customer value management team). The SM: Revenue Management will build strategies around sustainable customer acquisition and marketing strategies. The SM: Revenue Management works closely with CVM teams and data and analytics teams to ensure best use of customer data and available channels to drive customer value management. The incumbent will ensure that the increases in billing success and increased revenues.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop and monitor strategies for sustainable customer acquisition to retain the company’s market share and enhance profitability.
    • Construct, implement/fine-tune methods, systems and primary controls to enhance effectiveness and meet organisational goals
    • Retain ownership of the billing systems, including functional enhancements, data and system integrity, user assistance and support.
    • Develop and maintain billing procedures including documenting process flows and individual contributor tasks
    • Ensure timeous delivery of the billing run as per the agreed SLA
    • Identify, analyse and manage issues associated with the bill run, and minimising of those issues
    • Retain ownership of billing systems, including functional enhancements, data and system integrity, user assistance and support.
    • Review changes to the billing systems and services based on the analysis of the trends and patterns identified
    • Provide input into proposition development process through engagement with product owners. Advise of Base management implications during discussions regarding prioritisation between specific marketing and commercial initiatives.
    • Work with Portfolio management teams and vertical teams to reduce churn, drive cross selling and displacement/down trading across the high value customer base, improve value inflow
    • Contribute to delivery of insight for the customer base to the rest of the business, including actionable valueand needs-based segmentation and predictive models, linked with competitor intelligence, and market research.
    • Manage all direct marketing campaign execution and improve ROI through strong campaign management tools – operations, campaign planning, detailed design, production, test, roll-out, commercial return and evaluation.
    • Oversee the process of packages, tariffs, products and services creation, including the quality assurance related to relevant updates
    • Ensure the testing of new products and services and migration, effectively to the live environment
    • Liaise with the sales departments to ensure that the contract agreements are in place for the MTN Digital Services products and services
    • Ensure that there are productive relations with MTN, business partners, suppliers and customers regarding billing strategy, process and policies
    • Provide timeous feedback to the relevant stakeholders on all billing related issues
    • Formulate strategies to provide a continuous improvement for the customer experience during the billing management process through system and process automation
    • Ensure customer needs and requirements are satisfied through appropriate systems/processes/procedures
    • Understand customer needs and develop and fine-tune systems accordingly.
    • Provide monthly reports on the performance of the billing strategies to relevant parties.
    • Create and report upon billing key performance indicators and manage team to meet and exceed key metrics.
    • Provide quarterly report on progress of initiatives identified as part of the billing operations 3-year strategy.
    • Analyse data to formulate new, long term and short-term billing strategy.

    QUALIFICATIONS
    Minimum Job Requirements 

    Education:

    • Minimum 4-year tertiary qualification in Finance, Commerce, or related.
    • Post Graduate Qualification
    • Master’s degree would be advantageous.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 5 - 8 years’ experience in the area of specialization; with experience in managing others.
    • Experience working in a large organisation.
    • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar management position, in dynamic and fast-moving industries
    • Systems experience
